| What a performance! To back up a bruising encounter at St.helens with such an emphatic win takes some effort.
Wakefield had no answer for the way we shifted the ball out wide - clearly evident by Goulding & Richards get hat tricks - but we weren't as good attacking wise with Pat Richards at fullback. He was a bit slower than Amos was and Blanch had to come in for it every time.
Joel Tomkins was outstanding.
Liam Farrell had a great debut IMO. Got through shed loads of work and showed great strength for his try. Deserves his spot next week.
Keep it up lads.

| Paul Deacon! Great call. He improved our kicking game quite considerably. He picked out a few sublime passes to send Lockers and Mossop on breaks.
If Leuluai is out next week, Deacon starts for me at seven.

| Richards and Goulding hatricks was a massive positive, we are shifting the ball like saints were doing a few years ago, the speed is quality!
Sam Tomkins was great and caused problems but needs some new boots!
The whole backrow was superb!
Deacon was brilliant when he came on!
Gutted about Roberts, what a huge blow.

| I'd give a shout to Fieldens ongoing good form + improved desire!
A game like Wakefield last year would've seen him drop from games against the likes of Leeds, Wire, Saints + Bratfut!
Yet today he took the ball up with much desire + 'anger' (if that's the right word)

| Deacon had his best game for Wigan yet.
Farrell, looked like a SL regular to me - slotted straight in.
Both Tomkins brothers were awesome today.
Daz Goulding goes from strength to strength - he certainly knows where the line is.
There is only one negative and I don't need to mention it.

could you please tell me what problems tomkins made, he makes problems himself for not giving the ball, i know we have hit injurys but im starting to think drop tomkins for a kick up the , hes not put a good kick in the last few games and hes trying to do everything on the field and getting nowhere

I thought this at the game. The "go it alone" attitude is breaking down more attacks than it is helping. I know he still has the X factor, but im getting a little bored with watching him stop attacks dead by going back the other way himself.

| I think once the grounds get a little harder and the weather gets a bit hotter Sam will come into his own.
PS I am going to buy him a set of 6 inch nails to stick into his boots to stop him slipping.

i agree if it wasnt for injuries i wouldnt mind seeing lockers at 6 or something, he is the the player who is giving the killer ball out to the wingers and centres, at the moment his tackling is brilliant but otherwise his kicking and his all round attacking game is poor
