IIRC a lot of posters on here believe Lockers plays better when he's not captain, some even calling him a poor on-field captain. With Coley likely to be out, I'd keep with Bailey.

Got to be O'Loughlin surely?
I'd say having this leadership team takes all the pressure off the on field captain, whoever he is, so I'd give it to O'Loughlin purely because he is Wigan through and through, and his dedication to the club could never be in doubt.
As a side note, I noticed Lockers was the one speaking to the team in the huddles and breaks in play against Leeds, despite not being the captain.

Too be fair on reflection, I agree with this post. Everyone is playing well out there, and we have a leadership team for a reason. It's up to those in that leadership team to lead the line on Friday, and not just one player. They all need to step up to the plate. |

Lockers deserves it after how well hes played this season, he is like a machine rumbling along doing his stuff consistently week in week out. I doubt it will matter too much for this game who is captain though because if you arent fired up for this game you may as well pack in. We need 17 to stand up and be counted on Friday and if they do we have a great chance.
