| Another good game today from him, 7 trys in how many games! Cant complain about that, loved his chip over the top and winning the drop out. Was fantastic how he did that because leeds were really in our faces. Hope he can keep this form up.

| In addition to his tries, his chip into the corner to obtain a repeat set resulted in breaking the deadlock - Carmont scored on the next set.

| It is a shame. Goulding doesnt let the side down when he plays, however, his trys in most cases have not taken much finishing (obviously some have). i would still take Ainscough above Goulding on the wing, but my opinion matters very little.
Goulding has done alot of the dirty work as well as his try scoring. running the ball up in the first 2 or 3 tackles. his chip over to gain the drop out was another plus point for him, but if phelps is fit (and the rest) he is the one which will miss out.

| In terms of "Strike Rate" (i.e Tries per Matches played) Goulding is ahead of both Roberts and Richards now with a 140% strike rate to their 125%.

My god Amos and Pat want to get thier act together only 125%
In all seriousness them strike rates are very impressive.

I agree in a way but imo if Phelps is fit he needs to play. Tonight highlighted how much more structured and dangerous we are with him at fullback and then you cant be dropping Amos as he's been outstanding this year.

| Fair play for Goulding.
He had a hard time particularily last season but he's worked hard, earned his place and come up with good performances.
I think there should be more focus on Phelps earning his place back opposed Goulding jusitying his place & I think Goulding should continue to start next week with Roberts staying at FB.

| I think eventually he will become the regular centre at the club, but for now filling in on the wing when needed will do him the world of good. Some people don't seem to rate him, but in all honesty he's probably one of the best young centres in the country, and with the reduction of overseas players in the next few years it's likely that all clubs will end up with a homegrown centre, and I'd take a guess that Goulding will be one of the better ones.
For now, he's in good form, so whether he keeps his place for the Saints game or not he's still likely to feature quite a bit this season.

Not sure about him at centre but if he does have a great season this year, he'll be eyeing up George Carmont's shirt next year for sure. I think we have a better (albeit younger) centre in Stefan Marsh, playing in the Under 20s.

Dependant on Sams fitness for Friday Phelps may get a run at 6 if he's fit.
I suppose thats the good thing with Phelps. He can play a few positions so he's never going to go short of a position. He's obviously our best fullback so he'll continue there in the long run but it's nice to have the option of shifitng him into other spots when needs be.

Obviously, why ?, what has he done to say he is better at fullback than Roberts ?, arguably our best player this season so far.

| Its great to have two players in Amos and Phelps who can both play fullback to a extremely high standard. I think we look better as a team with Phelps at the back and Roberts on the wing, our play looks alot more structured with more options as Phelps is a better ball handler imo. Roberts has fantastic feet and is an athlete but he's more off the cuff and i think we can still get the best from him out on the wing.

But with Goulding playing so well on the wing ( and we are told MM will pick players in form ), why move Amos out to the wing and reduce his effectiveness ?.

I understand were your coming from for sure i just think it benefits the team as a whole with Phelps at the back. We look slicker with him getting involved/chiming into the line. Plus in an interview after the Cas match Madge said they had practised in training with Amos getting involved in the middle even though he was going to be out on the wing before Phelps injury. Also i think alot of Roberts skills can be used out wide and he'll still be running the ball back at times if he is playing on the wing.
Regards Goulding its a tough call, he has played brilliantly but like i said for the good of the team imo Phelps has to go back at fullback and we cant drop Amos he's been a different class this year wherever he's played. I may be tempted to play him at centre though to reward him for his performances. But again it would be a brave decision to drop Carmont, either way Madge has got a few big decisions to make but atleast he has the options which is always a good thing

| Goulding has played well at wing and centre this season, his first try against Hull was a great individual effort, and he rescued what could have been a Leeds scrum on the 20 and turned it into a goal line dropout that led to a try last night. I feel that if Phelps returns against Saints, it could be Gleeson or Carmont who makes way.

Why would Gleeson make way? He was outstanding last night. Had Senior in his pocket all night.
