Anyone else find the trains are using about 5 stops to Murrayfield taking over 5 hours to get there?

West Coast Mainline is shut again.

I looked into it last year and found it would have took hours to get there(as you said) so I decided to drive there

Didn't that take hours aswell?

but more likely cheaper + total control over stops etc

Bolton Via York £9.50 to get there and £7.50 to get back on Sunday same route

if you've ever used the national rail website you'd understand its not the most user friendly when searching for things inparticular.

Only problem is i will miss the last game on Sunday but as long as i see the Wigan game i am not to bothered catch the last on on Sky on the computer on the way home

Which day(s) is this on? One of the girls has booked ours, going on Friday and coming back on Monday, but she didn't mention anything about this. Would surprise me though, the trip home last year took about 6 hours and included a coach journey from Lancaster to Preston.

West coast main line is having upgrades done to it that weekend as it does on all bank holidays so your trip back could again be partially on a coach

Haymarket is the station you want, but most trains go to both and your ticket is usually valid from "edinburgh" which includes both stations

Must be said that it doesn't always stop at Haymarket though.

Dead easy trip on the train when things are actually operational ([size=85apart from when the points fail at Lockerbie[/size), but I wish they would start doing these jobs on the line outside of the football season and avoiding a clash with Magic!
