| Currently watching Brisbane Broncos v North Queensland Cowboys on Aussie Sports. The quality of Brisbane's attacking play is brilliant. I felt that the quality of the build up and completion of Goulding's try was on a par with Brisbane's play whose attacking skills I have long admired. I am so enjoying watching Wigan play this season compared to say last season when for example we beat Harlequins by 40 points or so and still came away feeling disappointed because I felt that the quality of rugby played was not of a good standard. Long may this new brand continue.

| Me too mate, its been good to be a fan again this year. On the subject of Goulding, I want to see the disallowed try where he juggled the ball before passing it. Think there was a forward pass but couldn't see it too well from the opposite corner in the South.

| I've always had a problem with our passing quality over the past few years and felt that as soon as we tried to move the ball accross the field it held us back because it wasn't accurate enough. There would always be a pass that would either be at somebodies head or at their feet and would lead to the move breaking down.
I'm not sure if it's a confidence issue or better coaching but thats been a million times better this season. We are passing the ball crisply and accurately and have runners coming from deep. When you add all that to the dancing feet and pace of guys like Sam, Roberts, Leuluai, Phelps ect it's been superb to watch.
Long may it continue.

I agree regards to our passing. Sam's pass for Phelp's try was nothing short of superb.

Worth the admission money alone that pass! It reminded me of Trent Barrett in his Wigan pomp.
It's great to see Sam's game developing so much.

| For the past few seasons we've had a very flat attack and players found it difficult to put together a number of passes that would put someone through a gap.
Now we are running from deep and hitting the pass at pace. Defenders are finding this difficult to cope with hence our backs are scoring most of the tries.
Very much bettter to watch.

In my opinion, this should be the real story of this season so far. Wigan's astonishing all-round improvement as a team. There were times last Friday when I too thought we were so slick that we looked like a quality Australian side.
Yet people (media pundits included) are still talking about us playing easy opposition or holding down in the tackle.
Clearly, Wigan have to go up a few gears yet before we get any credit. But I'm not worried about that. I'm quite content to let clubs like Hull and Warrington be proclaimed as the next big thing. It will make anything we do manage to achieve all the more enjoyable.

It was great to see him do something like that. I think it will act as a little reminder to a few people that this lad has got some talent. He's been written off a little too quickly(and you can probably include me in that as i'm sure I said i'd elevate Ainscough above him as first reserve next season a couple of weeks back) imo and has shown over the past 4 weeks that he's a valauble squad player that can cover both wing and both centre positions very well.
We've got very good squad depth at the moment.

Well IMO one of the reasons is, strange thought it may sound, that we don't have to pass the ball as far! We have more runners and we have deeper attack. We are often working an overlap and so have more players in a smaller space if you get my drift and so can make more but shorter passes to get the ball wide. It's easier to be accurate with shorter passes than hurling them out wide when your name isn't Trent Barrett.

It does not sound strange to me. I think its fair comment. short crisp fast passes instead of long wayward passes. basic rugby taught from a young age that is

Thank god some praise for that try finally. All i've heard is 'he should have passed outside' - No he shouldnt, he scored the try and gave Pat an easier kick and it was great skill the way he stepped back inside and left the fullback on his . Its about time people started looking at the positives instead of the negatives

| So far this season, Goulding has taken his chances very well. I've not been his greatest fan in previous years, but this year he's not been at all out of place in the first team.
Very chuffed for the lad. He's clearly determined to fight for his shirt, which I would think will go down well with Maguire and Wane.

| In 50 years of watching Wigan I have got to say that on Friday I witnessed the best rugbyI have ever seen from a Wigan team.
Of course we have had better players in the past...Boston, McTigue, Edwards, Hanley, Offiah etc...but never have I seen such fast flowing rugby or tenacious tackling as I did on Friday.

My thoughts exactly. He's noticeably stepped up a gear since last season and is starting to look like the talent people initially hoped he was. Hopefully, he's coming into his own and will maintain this.
