Surely by posting something on a web site which is in the public domain, with the intention that people should view it for free on that media, any sharing should be deemed to be allowed by definition of it being already submitted for access? Unless the content was shared/sold for profit, of course, which wouldn't be the issue just by linking it. |

Which is a shame, as the UK is part of the Berne Convention and so the original creator of any original material owns the copyright which in it's most simple form means that I own the copyright to this explanation (unless the forum rules that I have agreed too state that anything which I publish on RLFans is copyright of RLFans). And that copyright is automatic, so everything on the site is copyright regardless of whom created or owns it.
The rules which RLFans seem to enforce would make the search results which Google or any other search engine creates (a set of links) a no no. Oh, URLs to other sites would be the same without express permission from the original owners. |
