| Greg Florimo and Mark Reber would be my call off recent memory. They started 1999 at 6 and 7 and were terrible.
I'm not sure what Monie was on that year. After bringing in some useful title winning imports in 98 he gave us Florimo, Reber and Brett Goldspink whilst also giving regular action to Wes Davies!!!
Reber was supposed to be a Number 9 in fairness but he was so bad a signing he ended up being replaced at hooker by first Jon Clarke (now of Warrington) and then a 17 year old Mark Smith!
We've also had a couple of weird ones even more recent.
For Ian Millward's last game before the sack he decided to play, just turned 18 years old Darrell Goulding at Stand Off with Dennis Moran.
He also tried partnering an 18 year old Joel Tomkins with Dennis Moran when we played Catalan away in 2006 (least thats what the team sheet said).
On Easter Monday in 2005 our half backs for an away win at Hull were Chris Melling and Wayne Godwin! That was a game I got bricked in the back of the end by some Hull chavs but it didn't spoil an excellent win!
Any others - Chris Chester and Gavin Clinch maybe?

| We've had some absolute shockers when you think about it.
Worst was definitely Reber and Florimo though. Absolutely disgusting

I think you've got the worst culprits there.
Omg Reber and Florimo, i'd just about managed to block that out of my memory, thanks for reminding me.

| Moran and Brown for me. Both would make it into my all time worst Wigan 13 (along with David sodding Vaeliki from the same era)

Moran was unlucky at Wigan.
We bought a try scorer and because Farrell went to Union tried to make him a playmaker.
Moran never was a play maker and his form suffered. I would have loved to have seen him play at fullback when Barrett was here.
Oh and I would mind seeing Sam Tomkins and Kev Brown as a half back combination.

| Agreed Rogues, saw Moran score a lot of good tries for London, he fed off the playmakers in that team and when he came to Wigan he was expected to do a totally different job, that he turned out to be very poor at!

Exactly, 4th in try assists for a half back who's more a support player like Maguire is not a bad return. He just wasn't the kind of scrum half we needed at the time, that doesn't make him a bad player.

| Personally I don't agree with the sympathetic view of Denis Moran's time at Wigan.
Fair enough, maybe more was expected of him at Wigan but he had time to adapt.
Any Wigan halfback who runs round in circles, kicks the ball out on the full consistently, throws suicide passes regularly and perhaps most importantly has a poor attitude and makes a tit of himself off the field IMO deserves all the criticism and ridicule he gets.

Agreed.
People who try and say "his game wasn't suited to Wigan's" or "he was a support player not a play-maker" are blinkered.
He was a full time SL professional player, he should of been able to adapt his game to Wigan's style of play.
If he was a support player, he had no business being given the 7 shirt and being the main playmaker. He should of just been stuck on the wing.
