| Bailles has been let off for that "tackle" on Myler last week.
Sent off for all of 1 minute of the game, and that has been deemed sufficient punishment by the RFL.
So not even a full-length sin-binning.
Hmmm.

tbh i think it's a fair decision, i didn't feel there was any intent in it, rather just a poor lazy tackle.

| I'm happy with the decision TBH, even though it deserved a banning. He isn't a dirty player and there was no malice in it, just a lot of fatigue and tiredness.
I think the fact the French are having a bit of a mini crisis at the moment, in terms of players unavailable, is probably what's saved him.

Agreed. The elbow to Sinfield's face was far more deliberate and malicious and should receive a 1 game ban at the very least.

| yeah i agree, Baille just mis timed his tackle badly but Ferriol went out to brake Sinfields jaw.

| Baille has got just about what he deserves imo. He was probably borderline for a 1 game ban and i suppose you shouldn't let the French's injury/suspension circumstances cloud the judgement on the issue but if it has i can't really argue.
As for Ferriol he's a very lucky guy to only be given 1 game. He's a hot headed player and he let his temper get the better of him in a big way and that was a really cheap shot.
I'd have given Ferriol a 3-4 game ban.

| Agree Ferriol should have had a 3 game ban plus a £300 fine.
There was intent written all over that tackle on Sinfield.
Baille should have been fined buit no ban IMO.
Didn't think there was intent to injure Myler but it was a poor tackle that did injure the player. Fine but no ban!
They are always lenient with Intl Rugby.

| it didnt really deserve a ban.
no intent, and you could tell he was instantly apologetic and remorseful. he went over to Myler when he was going off to make sure he was ok..
Ferrioll is a dirty git and should have got at least 3 games.

| I'm sorry but I'm going to have to disagree.
Had that tackle been on Tomkins or Eastmond then the Wigan or Saints supporters would have been "up in arms"
It at least deserved a one match ban and a fine.
Had it happened in a Superleague game that would have been the absolute minimum.
The elbow to Sinfields jaw should have been a three or four match ban.

I agree. Although their was little malice in it and he was immediately remorseful it was still a terrible tackle which resulted in Myler leaving the field, although I'm sure he'd have played on if the game wasn't over. He's only missed 2 mins of a game and should at least sit out 1 more.
The elbow to Sinfield's jaw was a cowardly cheap shot. I hope he does the same against NZ. We may just see his ar5e then.

that was the biggest disappointment for me - where were our forwards getting stuck in and putting Ferriol on his backside? the minimum we should expect this weekend is that any foul play is punished by at least one of our prop forwards.

Oh for a pack that contained the likes of Fairbank, Skerrett, Nickle, Farrell, Newton and Sculthorpe.
Bring back the biff.

| Sending off was sufficient for my money, it was late in the game, the French forwards were exhausted and one of them threw a lazy swinging arm at a nippy halfback. One of the things the RFL look at when deciding these things is how balanced he was, if a player is balanced and gives a high shot he's more likely to have intended it that if he was off balance. I can't get the highlights video to play on sky sports right now but if memory serves he only had one foot on the floor which may well have gone some way to getting hm off the hook. The Sinfield incident on the other hand was malicious, he should have got at last a game for that, did he get let off or is that one pending? If that had happened in a more close, heated game it would have all kicked off.

| If he had gone in wih nasty intent then I think it would have to be at least 5 matches but it clearly was a genuine accident. Watching him over a few years I have never seen him as a dirty player before.

I agree. Nothing wrong with big hits but no place for the swinging arm. Making excuses for the time in the game, his body position or how sorry he looked doesn't wash with me. If we start allowing this kind of thing, they'll be lenient on the spear tackle next.

Disgraceful decision. How can being sent off for 1 minute be sufficient? Rogues also has it spot on. Had Sam been the victim we'd be knee deep in righteous indignation on here.
