Sam is having a stormer. He has been caught out a couple of times in defence and needs to sort that asap for the games against the big boys. He is showing us all why Myler is overhyped IMO.

completely agree. lathargic performance but sam has shone. Also think scott moore has had a decent game and would like to see him play next week. sykes should be no where near the england squad.

These should be the only survivors for the 4 nations. Maybe Fox or Briscoe too.

Sykes has had the worst international performance I have ever seen! I say no more!

It has been a poor performance and embarassing for RL but Sam has certainly been the stand out player and O'Loughlin has done well also but he will be in the team anyway. Moore has had a great game. Forwards have been decent but against a weak pack.

We could have a duck and a goose in the halves and it would be an improvement on that pair of clowns that played in the world cup.

Sam Tomkins is the best English half back at the moment no doubt and I'm not saying he doesn't have the ability to play for England as he quite clearly does.

However I have my cherry and white glasses on and would rather see him wrapped up in cotton wool for next season rather than play for England because that would be best for Wigan.

That is the point I disagree with! I want him to gain experience by playing against the best in the world, he will learn so much.

I disagree, he'll come back a better player for having taking on the Aussies. Plus nothing would make me happier than stuffing the Ockers and England needs Sam to do it.

Sorry I dont see it that way, for Sam to play against the best players in the world would help Sams game immmensely. It will probably be his last and only chance to oppose D Lockyer before his retirement, he will able to view first hand what standards need to be achieved to be viewed as world class. This can only help Wigans cause in the future.

i was very impressed with jordan james today. He has really bulked up and has plenty of aggression. well done to him.

Didn't notice in the first half but in the 2nd Sam went to scrum half and Myler to stand off. Sam won MOM and Myler was poor. Smith should have selected Ratchford instead of Myler. He's played a full season and was in form. Myler just hasn't played.
This suggests McGuire will come in at 6 and Sam will play at 7 in the Four Nations.
