Sorry for the lad if true but sadly Noble ended his season months ago as regards first team opportunities.

Shame for him as I would have given him a go this weekend instead of Roberts.

No, but if that's true it can only be a good thing. A new scene with different coaches and consistent superleague games will bring him on leaps and bounds imo

an off-season with rads learning to deal with high balls will do him wonders as well....

and before anyone mentions it ... roberts should be there too ...

The last time it happened was in a fight.

It wasn't in a game so it was either a training or domestic injury.

I hope he does go out on loan next season btw. Salford would be ideal.

shaun DID injure his wrist in agame and had his operation LAST WEDNESDAY the press have been a bit slow in this news.

i hope shaun stays and is given a chance by the new coach..he deserved encouragement...do you all honestly think tomkins would be in the team if smith wasnt injured???

tomkins would defo still be in the team for me if smith was fit, on current form.

the only worry is his stature and fitness due to his age etc. don't want it taking a toll on his career a few years down the line.

But thats the point, would he have been given the opportunity to show this form?

Based on Noble's past record there is no evidence to suggest Sam would have got anything like the game time had Smith stayed fit.

Have done the injury myself and its not that bad as long as its a clean break.

Problems may occur when you get a spiral fracture like mine was which can often need pinning and also long term significantly weaken the bone, thankfully in this case there is no mention of a spiral fracture so in 6 weeks he should be fine.

I did mine too aged 21. I was in plaster for almost 8 weeks.

I rthink i have done mine six times now, might be seven!!!
one of them I did it just closing the boot on my car and caught my wrist funny.

I ended up on first name terms with everyone in the fracture clinic - great set of people

There's no good way to close a car boot on your wrist

I have done mine about 5 times in the last 10 years too. Each one as a result from falling over on my @r$e in different situations (ice, drunk, wet floor, wet shoes ...). 6 weeks should be plenty for it to heal and also the off season to have good physio to enable him not to be prone to reoccurring scaphoid damage too.
