In the 07 semi against Catalans we were 31-6 down, coming back to 31-24 before finishing 37-24. Today was like watching a replay.

We are no better than 2 years ago although there were major areas to improve which haven't happened, something that the coach and chairman must be held accountable for.

I would say we are slightly worse if I am honest without Barrett in the team. I think if we had Barrett this season we would be up in third and probably would of won today taking more chances in the last 20 mins when we had the chance to win. Noble time to go, I joined that camp today.

It was a cup semi and we tried to play fast open attractive rugby and we then lost! Well there's a surprise!
Cup Semis are not played like that.
You play the game in their half not basketball in your own 20-30 mtr area.
We need new thinking and we're not going to get that with Noble.

Interesting considering even in the last few days he has still been taking stick for us being a boring side.

This is what myself and others who have been advocating a change of coach have been talking about. It isn't just in the cup where we have shown no improvement. The pattern of today's game is a good parallel for our past three seasons. We started well and looked to be getting on top (lot of talk pre season about new signings etc, fans belive we will kick on and compete). We allowed the opposition to steal a march on us and build up a large lead (poor form in early season leaves us well off the pace in the league). We threw a few good moves together and pulled back to within a try (late upturn in form sees us into the playoffs, we win a few games and get to semi, fans dream of GF win). We start coughing up possession and lose field position and Wire finish us off (we are found wanting in the SF and the season ends in failure).

It is the same each season, we never make a step up to be genuinely competing and won't until we have a new coach with more modern ideas and tactical variation. Noble has taken us as far as he can.

Did feel very much like 2 yrs ago, coughed up far too much possesion again, was advocating patience but after today think we are a long way off winning anything.

For me we have improved in some areas yet we are severely lacking in others, a new coach with new ideas and systems, plus more importantly a coach who will be able to look at the weaknesses in the team and correct them.

Were clearly lacking go forward badly, yet we cant do anything about it till the end of 2010 when certain players come off contract, for me what makes it even worse is that I'm expecting a similiar year in 2010 to what we have had this year because were going with the same squad and possibly the same coach. We have some fantastic youngsters who will do a great job for us but we lack experienced players who are able to perform and guide they way.

It's been my own personal view point for a long time that Lenegan is planning for the 2011 season which sadly for me says another poor year next year. What is important is that when a new coach comes in he's the right man, I really liked what I read in the Aussie press about Micheal McGuire he for me would be an excellent candidate for a the job he could hopefully sort out are recruitment of both overseas players and homegrown stars that we struggle with still.

For me we aren't far off in having a good team, with the right coach the correct player recruitment we will then be challenging for honors, however sadly these things will take time, but what we mustn't do is make anymore mistake signings because all they ever do is hold back the club from fufilling it's potential.

changing the team,who in my opinion were playing good tactical rugby is down to the coach.brian noble broke a cardinal rule by dropping players who were fit and had a winning mentality.sean o loughlin was captain of a team playing awful .as soon as he got injured the young players when given a chance played better than the so called experienced players.

I am sorry, but I have little faith in so called 'businessmen' today. Their record of decency, and honesty,in recent years, leaves a lot to be desired.

Well this is the third year running that we have lost 11 or more league games and from 27 weekly round that is simply not good enough. That is 5 too many to be competitive.
