Which blocks in the West were the Wire fans given? I do hope we dont get a repeat of the 2004 semi where I spent more time looking over my shoulder waiting for the next Wire gimp to have a pop, it did get rather tedious............

I know what you mean - to be honest i wouldn't mind but when u got a kid with you its bang out of order. I did e-mail the club about it but they haven't replied as yet. West was advertised as Wigan fans only so they shouldn't have given tickets to Wire.

The question is were Warrington given some allocation in the West OR have some Warrington fans simply bought their tickets from Wigan?

If it is the latter I can't imagine they did that to get a good view and sit quietly to enjoy the game

And they did the latter because we had sold ours out and Wigan had theres on general sale nothing to do with causing trouble, they just wanted to see the match whats wrong with that?

Nothing wrong so long as there is no trouble.
Like someone else already said previous experiences are a bit tainted with situations like this and can spoil a great family day out if a few numpties aren't there just to watch the game

And likewise Wigan fans might act like "numpties" its all if's an but's rugby league is supposed to be the family game afterall, it's not an ideal situation but the Wire fans who bought them didn't know that more would go on sale, even so though it seems the 700 tickets given to Wire are mixed in with Wigan fans anyway.

Not wanting to drag this on but 2004 was a disgrace, I work in Warrington and I've experienced enough "Walking Days" to know what happens when Wire make it to a "Big Day Out" and the Numpties jump on board!

The whole of the west stand is Wigan I thought with the odd wire fan who has bought a ticket from wigan but I would imagine that stand will be pretty much all Wigan and making all the noise. Most of the wire fans will be on the edges of the north stand.

Nah there mostly in the west Cam and some in the edge of the south, think we have half the north but its the bit near to the east stand, just hope nothing bad happens in the west with the mix of fans pretty sure stewards will be in that area though just to make sure.

I'm not so sure there is as many wire fans in the wigan end as they make out really.

My understanding was the clubs had an end (west for Wigan, East for Wires) each with the side stands being mixed.

The west has 8 sections, Wire were given 2 of them. Taking into account the fact that the East is not as big as the West there wont be much differance in the amount of support there...

No one really knows until kick off tomorrow but our ticket office defo sold tickets in west blocks A and B because a mate of mine went for one an was offered west but decided to get a south one instead, what stand you in? I was in north but went an changed for a east one.

Well if thats the case I don't know why some fans on here are bothered because I can't see a Wire fan having a go at a wigan one in a end mostly wigan.

I'm on the stand behind the sticks, right on the front row... It was all they had available in the middle section apparently.

I am on the back row of the west just to the right of the goals as you look at the stand.

I think they have done the ticketing all wrong, it would be a much better atmosphere with all the fans split up at opposite ends of the stadium. Also, there is never much trouble at rugby games but this is a semi final and wires biggest game in a long time and with two passionate sets of supporters it could easily boil over.

The RFL have done as you say, the problem has been that Wiganers have been slow to take the last 1,000 tickets up meaning that the RFL panicked and Wigan were instructed to pass on 700 of the 1,000 and keep 300. The RFL are to blame for the length of time between the last round and the semi as it has meant some have took the atitude of 'it'll be reet ill get one the week before', and I do know a few fans where this has been the case.
