They will both make the side if fit.

Bails will start at 2nd row ahead of joel and lockers will start at loose forward ahead flanagan.

Flanagan will be 18th man with Feca, Fielden, joel and mossop on the bench.

Well I agree that, if fit then both should play and I would have it like it is above with Flanagan missing out, however what is key is that they should only play if fully fit, we can't afford to go into that semi with two half fit players.

Bailey will return I expect although it'd be harsh on Flanagan because he was outstanding on Friday.

With baily and lockers due back from injury soon does anyone think maybe its time to drop fielden and give mossop a run at prop.

No definately dont drop fielden.

Its coincidental that since we started going with 5 props we have looked far better in the last few weeks.

A bench of Fielden, Feca, Mosssop and joel against a big wire pack is just what we need. Thtais a very big set of forwards for interchange and one which the opposition would struggle to cope with.

I'd drop Fielden on his head.

I'd have to say Flanagan would miss out to be honest. I agree with your selection there, the interchange would be Riddell off for Tomkins who will go into the 2nd row with Bailey moving to 3.

I'd Have a back row of Hansen and Bailey with Lockers at loose, IF FIT. Which is a bit if from what i've heard.Mossop and Flanagan on the bench.

I think that although Joel can be a bit more attacking than others, its not really whats needed for the match. If we can contain there forwards defensively, our backs SHOULD be able to finish the game off.

Therefore i'd go with Flanagan who has performed fantastically well defensively the last 2 games, and hasn't produced the errors which joel has which could be exceedingly costly in a semi final.


All in all a good problem to have!

I would bring baliey back if goulding is not playing but would we risk lockers in such a big game, we brought him back too early last year and it back fired on us.

Bring Bailey in as a straight swap for Goulding and IF OLoughlin is fit for the match then I personally would drop Joel and keep Flanagan based on his merit against Saints.

Only fair IMO, If Lockers is back then we have an attacking backrower back so after Joel had a poor game I think its only reasonable that Flanagan gets his chance again for an almost flawless performance against the best

Given Gouldings injury i think only one player will have to miss out from the backrow last Friday anyway even if both Bailey and Lockers are back.

I think we all know that man would more then likely be Flanagan however unjust.

I doubt Lockers making the game anyway so i think we'll just be looking at Bailey coming back in for Goulding with Flanagan dropping down to the bench.

IMO we will need the defensive qualitys that Bails, Fielden, hansen and Flanagan bring.

Bails straight swap for Goulding, simple as.

He's a huge player for us but we stand half a chance of making it through to Wembley and i wouldn't like to think he'd play in this game, break down and miss out on a final appearence. Tough calls.

Fully fit and yes of course they should and will play.

One backrower is going to miss out by the looks of it and that'll be tough on them.

It certainly will, but it's better than being 1 back rower light???

It's funny really when you consider our best second rower got banned a few weeks back yet we're still top heavy in that department.

We've got a superb set of backrowers at the minute.

We need to get to a point where we are like that in every position.

If locky aint 100% fit he shouldn't play simple we all saw what happened last season when we rushed him back cause we are going to need him over the next month

Hopefully the front row will be next.

We need to sign at least one and then next season we'd be able to choose from 6 or 7 options. Hopefully we may even see a new Stuart Fielden because the guy will be playing to save his career either here at Wigan or somewhere else.

Contract year next year for Fielden, some players seem to pick up when their future is on the line - Coley being this years example.
