That being said, he is the only ref in SL with the bottle to send someone off, every other ref would have put that on report.

In fairness the ref has to retain control and the players have to show him respect even if they dont agree with him, we dont want RL to become like football do we? I am sure Sam will learn from this. As for saying that he sent Sam off because of the St Helens score, I actually find that laughable.

I do agree he is the only ref with the balls to send players off when they deserve it, all the rest use on report as a cop out.

As much as some people on here wont like it because of where he is from I feel we always get a pretty fair game when he is ref, unlike others where we have gone away from the ground thinking that their decisions cost us the game.

His forward pass and knock on decisions were shocking all night for both teams. Afew of them led to some of ours and one of their tries.

Get real. He back chatted the ref. Had anyone else done that, he would have been yellowed as well. Sam admitted that Nobby had also had words with him when he was sent off. Back chatting shouldn't be given breathing space. As Ganson said, it's his job to do the talking, not Tomkins. Cocky little bugga might think twice next time!

Must agree. His decisions are not always right, but then nobodys are but at least he has the bottle to make a decision. Best ref we have in the country at the moment.

If he knew what a knock on and a forward pass was then he would be the best ref in country. He does have the bottle but he loves being under the spotlight.

Just spoke to someone who was in the coors lounge, and he said that when sam tomkins came up for his interview after the match he was asked what he said to Ganson and he had said 'its not my fault st helens lost' so he sin binned him

Like I said before Sam will learn from this, but at the same time you have to admire the lads passion when we are so far ahead and with only 4 minutes on the clock that he feels aggrieved when things go aginst him.
