im sorry but who ever picked that tonight didnt watch the game, locker and hock was our stand out players tonight, at a push i would of give it lockers for a faultless display i dont think he did anything wrong tonight,

O'Loughlin for me, pure performance, forced about 3/4 knock ons, threw plenty of nice passes.

Hock - great performance apart from the schoolboy knock on!

Sam played well tho, made some massive try saving tackles, O'Loughlin was good aswell, my Top 3; Hock, Sam, Lockers

I thought Tomkins and Hock were the two stand out performances.

Gaz Hock was awesome could have had his best game in a Wigan shirt had he not made those few mistakes.

Sam Tomkins was all over the placed and totally bossed the team effectively. I don't know how he was so elusive when he had Myler and Ratchford in his back poket.

Hock was MOM according to the radio.

My Dad has just said that Tomkins had a brill second half.

Sam tomkins did well but i think Lockers derserve man of the match today. Played like a captain tonight. Keep it up !!

Agree with Tomkins MOM though, he controlled everything and his kicking was superb. We needed that to control the game and win tonight.

Lockers, Hock or Tommy. Sam was rather quiet in the first half.

Should have been Hock but Tomkins really came to the fore when we needed it from around the 50 minute mark. He made a couple of good runs, a superb tackle on Talau and then put Hock into a gap that got us on a roll all in the space of about 10 minutes and we never really looked back from then on.

Hock mom with great mentions for Sam, Lockers, Coley, Riddell and McIlorum i thought.

Not saying man of match but Coley put a lot of work in tonight in both attack and defence.

Andy Coley, was superb. But Lockers and Hock were outstanding.

If Myler had defended any further out he would have been on the Robin Park car park, or the canal.

To be fair there not going to leave him where he was for hock to run over him

I thought that

Myler is a rich talent and as you say he defends out wide to try to protect him but Sam (who also defends wide out) is superb in defence and it is very rare that anyone gets the better of him. he just takes the legs and makes sure of the tackle.

The tackles on Talau and then one on Alker as he went to kick on the last were superb.

He came up with loads of little plays in the 2nd half that helped win us the game.

Im a massive fan of O Loughlin and yes he was immense though(from my seat in the 'West stand'

sam got the nod from me, he's absolutely everywhere and tackles like someone twice his size..

Carmont/Roberts to name but a few didnt have the best of games for us hence the frustration and lack of ideas at times but all in all a good win.

Some of the shots lockers put in were massive. Great game tonight from him and hock.

Special mentions to both Tompkins who played myler of the park and Roberts. Thought he had a cracker tonight, we need to get the ball down the right side more often. His work rate is excellent.

Piggy though was woeful, offered nothing tonight. I think about 10 of his balls from dummy half were forward. The reason for this is because it takes him an age to get up and makes his pass. By the time he gets there the runner is usually a parallel with him.
Needs to up his effort 10 fold.
