to do an interview for a game 3 days later?

He probably came knocking on Tony Smiths door pleading to sign for us. Thats what we'll tell the judge anyway

Its odd to say the least that he has travelled to Warrington to be interviewed about a game he might not even be playing in.

a 20 minute drive for the lad to do an interview about the game would hardly kill him.

1. the game is in warrington
2. he was interviewed by a warrington reporter who presumably wanted to promote the game in warrington
3. warrington themselves have no decent players to interview so they need to speak to one of ours

All the interview talks about is the rivalry between wigan and wire and how many fans will turn up to see the passion on show etc etc.................nothing more then a promo video to boost the ticket sales.

Dont mean to increase the discussion as its a non story at the minute but i am 90% sure Sam Tomkins is a Warrington fan, or at least was in the recent past.

Look at it another way, would you get Lee Briers coming to the JJB to do an interview before our home game against Warrington, or any player from any team. Its just odd.

Warrington have tries three times to sign him. Every time it was the same answer No, no and no.

He's been down there to do a promo for Fridays game, nothing more, nothing less.

Warrington have been desperate to sign S. Tomkins for years, but this nothing more than a ploy by both clubs to advertize Fridays game.

Following his good mate mathers, also he will have the chance to impress the England coach week on week. At the end of the day money talks !
