To go along with my moan regarding no Wigan posters being available, I went into the Hilton St shop at the weekend to get a kit for my 6 year old lad. He's had one for the past couple of seasons.

To my surprise they do sizes up to 3 years in the kids full kits but then the next size is a small boys shirt which is probably the size and 8/9 year old would get. I was told that they won't be making the kits/shirts for the ages in between. Like I've said, he's had one for the past couple of years but now they're suddenly not available. I can't understand why something like this would be deleted from the range.

At this point I would like to say that the young girl and older lady in there were very helpful.

The best person to ask would be ''head of retail'' Paul Stanworth.

Does he still work for the club? If so, what does he do exactly?

I just remember IL making the announcement of his recruitment, but can't say I've seen any change. That's unless it's just things like monitoring stock and cash levels etc.

There's a thread on the VT talking about KooGa and the fact that they might be in trouble given the current climate.

Bradford have been told that KooGa will no longer supply them with the Away replicas for this season and also that they have had issues getting the junior sizes instock for the membership scheme meaning that bradford have had to refund part of that fee back to the members in place of the shirt that was part of the package.....

If this is the case where do we stand as a club if KooGa do go belly up..... We know about the issues that where caused last year and getting the kit out to sale. If KooGa annouce at the end of the year that they are going out of busniess are we then in the same position that we where last year...... No kit deal.... designs not approved by the supplier etc....

I can get them a full kit turned around in 2 weeks. No problem...

I can assure you that I didn't set this thread up to plug the fact that I can get a full playing weight kit designed and produced within a fortnight.

Similar here - been trying to get shirt/kit for my 4 and 7 year old. They'll be meeting Ronnie the Rhino in a couple of weeks (he's opening the village fete) and I wanted them to be wearing a Wigan shirt when they did.

i posted that when they first came out.

I had the same problem for my 5 year old. I waited the extra weeks for the kit to come out and when they did they didn't go up to his age. I asked this new manager why and he couldn't answer and he said he didn't know that we used to do a full kit up to 6-7 years old. So now my lad has a small boys shirt the same length as his shorts!!!!
This years kit has been one fiasco after another.

i'm in the sme predicament with my 3 and a half year old. he's not so happy about not having a shirt this year for the first time. trouble is, there's nothing else that would do as a substitute, apart from last years kit. surely from a corporate point of view they'd be wanting to bombard kids with all sorts of branded gear, get em hooked while they're young.

Needs more piping.................
