Looking to stay over the night for our game on the 15th of May, hopefully in and around some good pubs and relatively close to the JJB.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Brocket is deffo the best place listen to them

Premier Inn at marus bridge might be worth a look, Taybarns for food adjacent, about 1 mile from the stadium

Brocket Arms is looking good, will book it tomorrow at some point.

Looks like it could be a cracking game between two sides attacking well at the moment, really looking forward to it.

If you are into paranormal experiences, Mabs Cross Hotel on Wigan Lane is recommended.
Many rings got mysteriously snatched there.

I dont like the sound of that

Mabs has got a bit of a reputation for shirt lifters , keep well clear

Wigan is rubbish for hotels for inbetween the town centre/JJB.

The Quality Inn across from Central Park is probably the nicest but is on the wrong side of the town centre. The Brocket, although pretty far out of the town centre is of a good location and is part of one of the most popular, decent pubs outside the centre.

There's a hotel being built on the Trencherfeild Mill site that will be of a good location for the town and JJB.

As someone who's stayed at the Brockett on a regular basis I can only advise you to ensure that you're smashed out of your head or that you take sleeping tablets to ensure you get some shut-eye. The bar staff have a very annoying habit of sorting the empties outside at gone midnight and at the crack of bird$hit.

Rubbishistiest presenter, ever.

We have stayed at the Brocket on many occasions and the only thing that really lets it down is the ridiculous size of the car park! We parked our new car on the road outside (in front of the disused garage) and some lovely person scratched it for us! We tried the Bellingham which was OK - good car park but unfortunately there was a wedding on and the noise continued until the small hours. Rooms were a little tired but OK and the breakfast was very good. Bit of a walk to JJB so you need plenty of sustenance from pies!!

I didnt until the other week when i googled Wigan hotels, i think it only has 3 rooms

I just get a little sad seeing that Henry Afrikas is a Premier Inn.

Does anyone know what happened to Gallagher's? It used to be a good place to stay, good bar, and had a lovely looking girl working there.
