| No coincidence is it that when you drop a player you generally see an improvement as they realise the shirt is not theirs regardless of how they perform.
Competition for places is always a good thing

| Had a good game against us last night and the best way to put it is that we couldent even be bothered to boo him after a while. He showed lots of pace, strong running and good hands, When he plays like that he will be an asset to your team.

Agreed but why can't he play like that every week?
If he had performed like that consistently he would earn himself a contract extension.
His best games for Salford were against us while he was there and I will wager that his best games for us will be against Salford which is really annoying. Why can't he play like that every week?

| He used to be most dangerous at Salford when running out wide, do you tend to use him this way?

Simple, we don't play the Salford every week. When he does against good teams week in, week out I'll give him some credit.

No, we have him taking the ball up the middle of the field, last night he ran wide, mainly on our left and look what happened, much improved, if we can stop him giving away penalties he'll be an asset, especially if Hock is missing.

| He ran wider then he's done for us in the past on Friday and looked hungry for work. He proved that it must be an attitude problem with him when he's not at the races because he's definatly got the talent and the sheer size to be a top draw player.
Just hope he kicks on now.

| He made his name at Salford as a second rower. He ran wide on friday and caused the defense trouble.
Im not reading to much into it, look at Mathers for an example, his first game back at Headingly he got the MOM and played excellent, and look what happened to him.
Fielden also, his first game back at Odsal he scored twice and was awarded MOM.
Players always up there game when playing at an old club.

| Is it really the job of a prop to run wide though? Surely he should be a second rower if he's running wide.

Aslong as he gets through his defensive duties through the middle i don't see a problem with him running wide if it brings results like Friday night. He has good pace and produced a couple of sublime offloads which makes me hope he continues to run wide.
He looks to be yet another Wigan signing that only starts to play to their potential when their contract is nearly up.
