| Definetly one that got away from us. Would have been better long term to spend on him than Trent Barrett.
Kept us up all by himself and man of the match by a mile tonight listening to Saints v Hull KR.

| It makes you wonder if Lenegan was too tight fisted when it came to luring Dobson to Wigan.
We've all seen examples of his 'careful spending' in all areas of the club, but missing out on Dobson is something he may regret and will hopefully learn from it.

Well I wouldn't blame Lenegan. Our salary cap between 2005-2006 was clearly completly screwed and he's had to slowly recover us - and I think he's still doing that now. We saw enough to break the bank then in my view but sadly we'd already signed Barrett.
We saw at Hull KR last summer - he played us off the park all by himself. Great talent.

But we signed both Tim Smith and Cameron Phelps AFTER we were linked with Dobson?

Yet people said all he had was his kicking game....
Had Baz stayed for the full 3 and been committed I doubt you'd be raising this; that's not to say I disagree mind.

Aye but I bet both are on a pittance compared to what Dobson asked for. Who knows though it's all academic.

| I think we were holding out for an out and out 6, Dobson is more a 7 than Smith, our failure to snag a 6 makes the choice seem a strange one.

A great kicking game that got us out of trouble and put us on the front foot so many times and he could handle the pressure that so called wigan stars could not , and all at the age of 18 . when at the end of is stay with us his support play was also good . Tough kid.

Dobson is a proper Scrum Half , TL isnt. H played pretty well tonight and guided his team round the park very well.

| Dobbo is up there with the top number 7's in the league. So far this season he looks to have upped his game to another level.
He does look better IMO than both TL and TS at 7, but thats in the past now, and good luck to him, he's having a cracking start with KR.

| I would take Dobson back in a instant. He isnt a star by any means but is more than adequate in all the areas that a scrum half needs to be and he has an exceptional kicking game which no one at the club has. Dobson, with a quality stand off, would form a excellant half back partnrship.

| Im a big Dobson fan also. I found it odd that you had a guy here who had proved himself to be good at this position in your team but allowed HKR to get him in the belief that you could do better. New players especially from Oz are always a gamble - Dobson wasn't. I would have loved him at Quins because we all know what he can do. Big mistake imo but its history now guys.
