I thought one of the best tries gilly scored was in the 1983 John Player Final at Elland Rd.
After the try I think half the Wigan team jumped on him and he damaged his shoulder & had to be taken off.

this was a very clever bit of rugby league, 'running in circles' as you put it allowed his forwards to get back behind the play the ball and have a breather...the man is a legend!!!!! |
