They seem to have gone pretty slack with uploading highlights on time again, no sign of any 15 or 40 minute highlights for any games since Bradford on Easter Monday. And it looks like they had been forgetting to upload the full games and uploaded Bradford, Saints, London, Hunslet and Dewsbury games earlier this week.

Wigan TV is so frustrating, if they ran it properly it would be excellent but it just seems like a complete half ar£ed effort tbh.

It's very much a token effort at the moment in my opinion. Kelly O'Donnell has left, not sure if they are replacing her or not, and I think the service could have been well improved before her departure so I'm really not sure whats happening now. As a subscriber their isn't proving to be much in it for me at all this year.

Getting very frustrated with this service, can't see me renewing again. Which makes me angry because it had soooooooo much potential.

A tv crew from SKY (fronted by Angela Powers) followed the club from the breakfast at Rigelettos to returning home, should be aired soon.

I've subscribed pretty much since day one and have contemplated cancelling several times, the only reason I haven't is because it's cheap, and I've thought it's worth perservering with because it COULD be an excellent service. I do the 3 monthly £9.99 DD but even so the content is pretty shoddy.They really need to add commentay to the highlights videos, whether they pair up with your Wish FM commentary, or Radio Manc, or have a dedicated Wigan TV commentator, the current videos look very amateurish IMO with the only audio being the ref and crowd. Other than the highlights, most of the interviews are just what used to be on the homepage for free, the press conferences are extremely poor quality - you can barely here what questions SW has been asked, the preview and review shows with past players never really materialised and most of the archive games can be found elsewhere on the internet.

Don't Latics do something similar to this (ignore me if I'm wrong - won't be the first time)?

Why don't they pool resources & make something approaching a professional stab at it?

2,000 subscribers = £70,000 per year income. No surprise that it hasn't been as good as some were hoping if they are running it to that budget. That said, there's no excuse for not getting match highlights online within the stated deadlines. There should be contingency plans in place to make sure that in any eventuality someone can edit the footage into highlights and get it online

I wonder how many subscribers they would have if they started living up to their promises though. I'd be happy if they stopped bothering with interviews and just made sure they got the games up on time. They could probably manage that with very little extra cost considering the games are recorded anyway

I've been told Wigan TV plan to use our Wish FM commentary for the non televised game videos, I guess starting with Widnes.

the overall experience and quality has improved 10 fold in the last month so well done.

From what I was told they plan to use it for all the games that aren't televised. Though not sure how Sunday will work because we are having Saints v Cas updates during our commentary.

Cracking commentary guys, was getting very disillusioned with this service and thinking of not renewing but recently the service has improved and the inclusion of your commentary is what you may call a "turning point" !

When im watching any videos on Wigan tv it seems to be very jumpy and the lip sink is out. Is there a setting i need to change? because i never have this problem on any other website.

Try a different browser maybe, always worked fine for me in Firefox.

I wonder how much they will take it on board to be honest. I've rang quite a few times, threatened to leave, ask for a refund etc because they aren't giving us the service we paid for (40 mins by Monday, full game within 2 weeks) but it was absolute murder to get anyone to take it on board. Hopefully the new management will be better, they're still not putting 40 mins at all

I do think it's slowly getting better. The post you have quoted was from a while ago and they improved the overall look and feel of the website since then. The highlights videos are much better with commentary, and I've just watched this week's press conference and the video and audio quality was a lot better than it used to be, you could actually hear the questions being asked. I agree about the 40 minute highlights, if I've missed a non TV away game then that's the main highlights I want to watch, 15 is ok and 2 weeks is a bit long to wait for the full game (plus it was awful trying to watch 80 mins in silence).

There's definite room for improvement content wise but if they can at least be consistent with the 2mins/2hours, 15mins/24 hours/ 40 mins/Monday, Full game/2 weeks highlights as advertised then it's worth the fee.
