It's the lack of concessions in most parts of the ground that is the issue. I've just paid £110 for 2 tickets for my kids which is a disgrace

You could have bought Cat 4 seats which are good seats and have heavy discounts for kids. You aren't being priced out of buying a basic necessity, or even taking your kids to the game, you are choosing to pay a higher price because you want very good seats. I fail to see how that is a disgrace.

P.S - Apologies in advance if you have a visual impairment or similar which means you need to sit in the better seats.

As someone who sat on the very back row at the top of the stadium last year and still saw Houghton's tackle on Currie perfectly I can honestly say there isn't a bad seat in the house.

In 2013 I was towards the back of the lower tier. I got 3 tickets for nearly the same price. I think those in that upper tier will be pleasantly surprised.

The lower tier at Wembley is a bit expensive, but 2011 we sat on the very back row of the upper at £20, which wasn't great, it felt a bit disconnected, so went up a band to £30 in 2013, which was row 3 upper tier and an absolute fantastic view. This time we've managed to get row 3 again, but for £20.

Can't moan at that at all really. You won't pay that price for anything else in this day and age if you're talking football or music, and that's ignoring all the offers the RFL had been emailing for months in advance.

I sat in the lower tier in 2011, front of the top tier in 2013 and back of the top tier last year. Top tier has the best views and best value for money for me.

At the rate we are going at present, even my free tickets will be too expensive to watch us get mauled

Loads of people buy their CC tickets well in advance regardless of their team being there or not. There'll be plenty Wigan fans there on the day.

The only difference with this years crowd to the last 6 or 7 years is they'll have to accurately report this years. There hasn't been an 'actual' final crowd of over 70,000 for a good while now (as in there actually being over 70,000 with their bums sat on seats).

We'll take a bashing on the VT and in other places for Saturdays crowd no doubt but the truth is it'll be on a par and probably better then a few of the crowds in recent years.

We have only sold 8,000 as we have a large number of ypant, armchair critics that will not attend unless the team are playing perfect RL and winning 50-0.

And this must be true or you wouldn't have said it, would you? Anyway, I hope you get a few more bites than your previous attempt to insult people got.

In 2006 when we struggled and fought our way out of relegation our attendances increased. However, the last few seasons have seen our crowds steadily drop and although some won't like it, there's a real element of truth in this. Unless we're putting cricket scores on everyone we're not worth spending money on. Sad really.

Sorry, it wasn't my intention to get bites from you. As for freeloading, if you mean the days when the club benefitted to the tune of £8k plus each season then, yes, those days are over now that I'm happily retired in my fifties. I've still got all the friends and memories from those days, though. People you would give your eye teeth just to have them glance your way. One of them is presenting the trophy this time actually. Still, you're the only true fan on here, eh?

If you haven't got the appetite to attend the game anymore that's your choice, just as it is my choice to attend regardless of the performances, standard, or any other ypant reason that I've seen quoted on here this season.

Whether you choose to attend or not is irrelevant to me. It's your attitude to others of a different opinion that I'm calling out. Or do you want everyone on here to hold the same opinion, preferably yours?

I'm bothered that we've only reportedly sold 8,000 for a cup final, it should be double that. I care about the club.

The RFL gave the club some crap seats in the upper tier in my opinion (stuck in the corners). Subsequently I and others bought tickets in the upper tier from the RFL as they were behind the sticks.

They are disappointing sales but it is worth pointing out that the closure of the line between Wigan and London Euston wont have helped.

Correct always went on the train when they had one early start Saturday morning and no rushing back.

I like the upper tiers at Wembley you get a great view and are not reliant on the crowd at the other end cheering to let you know a try has been scored . You can see for yourself . Got 11 £30 seats (marked on tickets) for £20 per seat from Wigan . RFL selling same section for £30 per seat .

Definitely, and I'm sure that will have taken some off the attendance from a Wigan perspective.

This will by first miss since I went in 84 the lack of train is the main reason as we have used Virgin or special on our last 6/7 visits.

Of the 9 others who usually make the trip only two are gong for similar reasons.

Some people may think this is a poor reason but i spend enough time on the motorways of our country Monday - Friday working and have no desire to do it on my days off.

I got our tickets through the RFL, and wasn't asked which club I supported, so not sure how they've got any sort of accurate figures as to who has sold the most tickets.

Regarding the overall crowd, yeah, with Club Wembley not counted in any more, it will appear lower, but it's no different from counting club attendance figures that include season tickets whether they attend or not.

Our CEO has said our ticket sales are more than this year, and believe that 23k are attributed to Hull, though how they gather that information I don't know. Must be sales through the club, and sales through the RFL to HU post codes. It won't count the people who have bought through the RFL and live outside of Hull though
