I hope he goes as well. We need a strong Saints side in SL.

| Reminded me a lot of Matty Russell, superb in attack but stinks in defence. tThey will both get better with experience. Sam used to be dodgy under the high ball but now I don't recall him dropping one all season, if these lads have the desire to learn them they have the tools around them to be as good as they want to be. The future looks great for England at fullback, especially if Sam stays in the sport

| The game turned on his mistake - and he is their top error maker. You simply cannot be compared to Billy Slater and make so many errors, especially at full back.
Ill stick with Sam.

I still think even if they did sign a player with all the potential in the world like Eden we'd still come out on top over them over a whole season.
You just have to look back 10 years and think that Wigan had some outstanding players in Radders, Faz, Newton etc and we did beat Saints a good few times but they always seemed to pip us to the post when it mattered.
I'd say the roles have reversed now and they'll have some quality and will beat us occasionally but we've just got a special group of players that will see us through when it really counts.

Is this a joke?
SL would be a hell of a lot weaker without Saints and we'd all suffer for it.
Good Friday games are the highlight of the calender and as much as i love stuffing them it's even better to do it knowing they've got a good side and can actually compete against us.

Nope, i would love to see them drop, just as they would love to see us go the same way.

| He's built like a brick sh*thouse for the age of him and given his position. The country crys out for bit athletes in the backs and this lad is certainly one. He looks to have a knack of popping up in the right place at the right time and he could develop in to a very good player.
One thing I would say is maybe Nathan Brown should stop bigging him up quite as much. I think we all know he's a talent but there is no need to keep making wild comparisons to Billy Slater and adding extra pressure to him. He's got errors in him and as Sam Tomkins has found out theres nothing more jealous opposition fans love jumping on more then an error. Sam Tomkins is experienced enough and easily good enough to deal with this and ram the taunts down peoples throats (no running backwards allowed though) but Eden is pretty much a first year pro and just needs to be eased through errors like last night.
I'm looking forward to seeing how he progresses.

I still don't see the need for the extra attention that comparison will bring but then if Brown things he's got the confidence to deal with that then fair enough. The lad looks to have a bit of good arrogance about him like Tomkins and you need that.
How longs he contracted for? I'd hate for him to follow Brown to Saints.

So would I. Not because it would make Saints better but because it would weaken Hudds. This league will never increase in standard if teams like Hudds can't make the "big four" a "big five" and so on.
I think Hudds are a threat this season already so it could be argued there already is an extra team at the top but if the best players follow Brown that won't last long.

The move to Saints should do him good (if it happens)

Or did Hudds pay a fee for him?

| Don't see why he should want to go to saints as I think Huddersfield are a better team than saints right now and he has a better chance of winning things if he stays where he is.
Huddersfield have to keep their star players when he leaves and it would be a real shame if they didn't.
He looks a tremendous prospect to me - very good.

| a bit shaky under the high ball but knows where the try line is and is very good in attack. He certainly has the pressure on his shoulders when Nathan Brown goes comparing him to Billy Slater which I feel is a little unfair on the youngster.

| He showed some flashes of real quality but still has a few rough edges. He looks to have all the tools to become a real top quality player though and if he keeps developing im sure he will be. I think Huddersfield next coach could be a big factor in how he develops.

Or moves to Wigan who are better than both of them.
(Fullback or Centre ?)
Sam said in an article he writes in the Manchester Evening News that he would not be against a move back to standoff some day, even though he is enjoying his Rugby at fullback.

Think They should be more worried about Brough coming to us - a great half back and goal kicker. Just what we need!!!!!
