| You know, I nearly didn't go. The weather forecast was so awful, and it was on the telly. And then, at the last minute, I poked my head out of the front door, and thought, it doesn't *look* like it's going to rain in the near future. So I grabbed the car keys and set off. And was late. And took my seat just in time to see the red card brandished! Of course, now, I'm so pleased I did. And I got back to the car just in time to avoid a soaking, too!

| Thought we would get battered in the forwards but fair play lads you stood up to their pack well today and everyone grafted for one another.
Didn't think we had enough to win today but so glad to be proven wrong

We seem to have Warrington’s number at the minute. Higher intensity but smaller forwards seems to be their undoing.

| Even with a man extra a couple of their big bodies looked spent part way through the first half. We ran that inside ball over and again, like we did away at their place and we targeted Vaughan and it worked again. When we’ve spoke on here about needing more ‘size’, it isn’t just about size. You need size, of course you do, but they need to be fit and athletic as well. Saints have a great balance between size, power and athleticism but Wire seem to have too many big blokes, who lack athleticism.

Sadly we can’t measure ourselves against Warrington’s pack, we just get mullered against this Saints and Catalans pack at the minute because we need another 3 Havard’s. Seems that we are a Cup team with the right draw but no real chance of the Grand Final for a while.

| As a neutral I thoroughly enjoyed that game and full credit to you for winning with 12 men.
Warrington were terrible thanks to the way you defended and put them under pressure.
Have to say I`ve been impressed with O`Neil and Havard and think Hill looks good too along with the other young forward you have who played against us ( Leeds) recently ? Mesemba probably got that wrong.
Cust almost gave the momentum back to Warrington when he came on and I`m not sure Wardle is good enough along with King.
And I know he gets some flak from your supporters but I do like Smithies.

Im with you French on the wing but looking at Miski and the way he takes up the ball i would try him in the second row he is abig unit and has a bit of pace.

I take the point generally but "with the right draw" is underselling us a little.
Leeds and Warrington?
We could have had easier draws.

I try and stay level headed (maybe a little too positive for some) and I understand that we’ve been at times this season but we’ve pulled out some big wins this year so I will always hold out hope we can win silverware this year (injury dependant).

I was the same, my wife was working and I had a 2 year old and a 5 year old at a 5 year olds birthday party and just thought “ it I’m going”. My 2 year old daughter (on her first game), although not a clue what was going on loved it and clapped all game, it will stick in my memory forever that game.

| I’ve watched us for over 50 years and that is one of the most tigerish performances I’ve ever seen from a Wigan team.
Havard has just placed himself in our history books. Outstanding performance. Full of commitment and energy. I can’t think of enough superlatives to give to the lad.
The game and sending off suited Shorrocks down to a tee. His fitness is ridiculous.
Thank you lads. Made my weekend.

Iv'e been saying that to my mates for a few months. Bit like Aaron Murphy transitioning from the wing for Huddersfield. I think Miski would make a decent second rower, he is quick without being rapid and is strong at taking the ball in and as you say is a big unit. I think he is wasted on the wing although doing a great job, i think his talents lie elsewhere in the 13.

| I think he's OK where he is, and on balance, I'm just about in favour of hanging on to him, despite his quota spot. I think, like Joe Shorrocks, he's not an automatic starter every week, but he's a worthwhile squad player. Both illustrated their worth today.

Miski is a winger.
He’s not a middle or an edge forward.
He’s a winger.
He had been a big part of why we win today because just like our other winger and centres he carries very well and starts our sets very well.
Havard is quite quick and athletic for a prop, it doesn’t mean we should move him to centre.
Miski is s very effective winger in our system, if it’s not broke let’s not try to fix it.

| Just a massive win today.
After a turbulent few weeks we needed it.
Just heart and guts on display just like the wins against Wire and Saints in April.
Now we have a few weeks to really hone the spine combinations before the semi final.
We seem to have a cracked the code on Warrington. Get the half backs to turn the backrowers back on the inside so their props have to make tackles then didn’t expect to have to make. Get big line speed on them as there backs aren’t great ball carriers, forwards are naccered from defending, they realise they aren’t making yards so force passes which lead to errors.
Simple but seems to be the blue print.
It was a game for work rate forwards today, Havard obviously amazing but Smithies, Shorrocks, O’Neill and Faz really stepped up too.
Glass half full view on the season now. Good chance of getting to Wembley and hopefully get a few league wins together and move back up to the top 4.

However I must stress that this has not come from my mate at Wigan (given that 2 of you on this forum know who my mate is)
This has come from someone at Saints but someone that would know so I have no reason to doubt it'"
Dont doubt your information but just feels a weird one. Powell just seems the hard working family man type who’s been loved by his coaches and team mates.
Peet confirmed he was dropped last week for selection reasons but has been playing hurt with a shoulder injury all year. Now had an operation that’ll keep him out 4 weeks.
Peets kids both had Sam Powell shirts on so maybe they are friends again
O’Neill had his best game for us yesterday IMO but I’d still have Powell over Cust of the bench in a perfect world.

Could well be a load of rubbish and someone from Saints just stirring it or assuming a fall out because he had been dropped

| Famous win yesterday. To me, its always worth buying a ticket, because you just never know whats going to happen! Fought for their lives in every single tackle and its a performance to be proud of. They could of easily gave in after that red card off the back of last week too but they didnt, wonderful to see.
Think everyone at Wigan has always known Havard's potential and he absolutely showed it yesterday. The best performance from a Wigan prop forward in years. He has a big big future if he keeps playing like that. Thought Shorrocks was superb too, worked his socks off and made lots of cover tackles which stopped a lot of half breaks. Special mentions to Smith, O'Neill, Smithies and Faz who were all excellent.

| Fantastic heart and grit to win that game. We saw from minute one how much we wanted to win that game.
A real coming of age performance from Havard. Just immense. Also, how good was French in defence?! We've stepped it up this year when we've needed to in big games, and it bodes well with players to come back over the next few months.

I hate the home cup/playoff games were everyone has to buy a ticket and it’s always an embarrassingly poor crowd but bit the bullet and got a ticket. So glad I did.
Not many there but the fans who were there were great and really got behind the team, celebrated every error like a try, supportive even after Wire tries.
Special day.

Agree with this. He did a lot of the tough stuff while looking composed and calm in attack. Be interesting to see if Peet sticks with him there.
