I thought Silverwood had a great game at Leeds. In fairness, despite all the pre match hype it wasn't a dirty game at all and played very cleanly between the two sides. But the fact he wasn't whistle happy made for a good game.

I just think out the two, Silverwood is ahead of him. He also has 5 years more "1st grade" experience than Bentham.

I expect Bentham will be video official.

And he's not a biased git!

Silverwood was quality in the Leeds game I thought, he just needs more common sense on the ball steels. Balls don't just flirt out like a bar of soap.

And stop the 3 or 4 players holding down in the tackle

Yeah i agree, if the ref clamps down on Saints tactics at the ruck it will be a much better game.

Could have been worse i suppose but would have preferred Thaler myself he lets the game flow. Silverwood can be abit whistle happy at times.

Along with the decision re GF ref, the refs were to find out today which 1 will go to the 4 Nations. Has this also been released?

Bentham had better sort his act out - Wigan are gonna be in a LOT of finals over the next few years and if his uncanny ability of seeing us lose carries on he won't be getting any big gigs.

At least it's not Bentham. Silverwood did ok against Leeds for me.

As long as it wasn't bentham I didnt have a problem. So happy enough, if we play to our potential, the ref wont matter.

TBH people cant really blame Silverwood for missing the ball stripping last week. He sent the main one that Leeds scored off to the VR and he ballsed it up from there

He is a decent appointment imo, he doesnt seem to ruin the game like some of the others do.

Perhaps I shouldnt worry, but maybe Silverwood needs to be wrapped in cotton wool until Saturday as Bent ham is the reserve ref.

Just make sure JTB stays away from him then he doesn't get manflu otherwise we are in deep come saturday

TBF i bet Saints dont want Bentham either because he caned them against Huddersfield imo, some of the penalties were laughable.

Happy with that, did well at Leeds and did not take any stick off them. Infact he managed to shut up Sinfield and send him packing. ( for an early holiday )
