Call me old fashioned but I think the fact you can't even throw a half hearted punch now without facing a ban is pretty boring. People love high impact collisions and players going toe to toe, always have done and always would (if it was allowed).

LMS and FPN both held back on Friday for fear of a ban. That would have gone off like a world title fight a few years back but now we're left with hair pulling and slapping!

As Wigan supporters you must wonder where it all went wrong. You've got the largest and best pool of amateur teams to select from. You've got some of the most skilful players in the league and yet the brand of rugby you play appears to have made you public enemy number one with the majority of other clubs supporters.

Let's face it we aren't public enemy number one simply for the fact that we play the game aggressively. We had a time around 2005/6 where teams seemed to almost start feeling sorry for us, so to have an absolute flood of opposition fans on here currently trying to get everyone eat up is music to the ears.

Long may it continue because if it does then it means we're up at the right end of the table.

FPN pleaded not guilty, found guilty and received a one match ban so misses semi final. Given his lack of match fitness not really a problem.

Fair enough really as he knows the rules but I stand by my comments yesterday that the game is being watered down too much to please the PC brigade.
