OK have it your way 2 wins this season. It's not like anyone can taken any comfort from that either.
Hardly a glowing endorsement of what you call a 'sterling job'.
I honestly wonder if Wane would get this unwavering support if he wasn't from Wigan? If Madhe would have had this kind of record would he be offered your blind loyalty?

Hull KR deserved the win on the night. Get over it. I wouldn't be using words like 'unacceptable'. It makes you sound like a spoilt brat.
I think our form in our last two games gives us great hope for the rest of the season - beat Saints and we may very well be top on Friday night. Would that be 'acceptable'?
We have no divine right to get to the Challenge Cup Final because of our history. To be honest I'd rather lose in the 6th round than in the Semi Final. It's not ideal but I think we are slight favourites for the GF because we won't get smashed up trying to win the CC. (Would I like to win the CC - of course I would - but I'd prefer a GF win)

I don't think you'll find anyone who is justifying our away form or the cup exit. Because there isn't any defence behind why we can't replicate what we do at home when on our travels. I think people are just trying to keep faith with a coach who already has every domestic trophy under his belt in his first three years in charge.
Our home form is outstanding, so we know what they can do when they do click. We have the youngest squad in the league who are still learning, have had probably the biggest player turnover in SL since his arrival and yet we're just two points off top despite the problems. I do believe we're capable of winning at Old Trafford once again. I think Wane has done a brilliant job IMO.

I remember under Madge when we could beat every team away from home but couldn't beat the likes of Wire and Saints at home. If we get into the top 2 we won't have to win away from home to win Super League will we? I'd be more worried if we couldn't win our home games.

I know our away form has been woeful, but we're still 3rd in the table and just 2 points off the top. We've been in the last 2 GFs, you can't start sacking coaches because they're not achieving perfection in a very competitive league. The last 2 year's CC performances have been very disappointing, but there's no way SW's Wigan career is hanging as finely as you seem to be suggesting.

Old Trafford is away from home . I'd be looking elsewhere if he doesn't win the grand final this year to be honest. We've gone backwards since Maguire left and getting knocked out of the cup by Castleford then Hull KR is beyond poor for a club of our means. I think people may have been calling for this sooner if it wasn't for our ridiculously easy cup run in 2013 (absolutely mental that we only had to beat Leigh, Hull KR, Widnes, London and Hull FC to win the challenge cup!)

Not really it just means he's obvious got higher standards than you.
ATEOTD if Wane doesn't win the GF this year he's been a failure. He's employed at Wigan to win trophies, if he doesn't pick up the GF this year that's 3/4 years in charge without either of the big two.
Thats not good enough for Wigan (although it's probably good enough for your version of Wigan as it means those little poor sides don't get too upset)

You're forgetting that no team/manager is perfect. Even Sir Alex Ferguson lost cup games against lesser teams, as well as going through rough patches in the league.
Now don't get me wrong, I am not saying Wane is anywhere near the coaching prowess of Sir Alex, but Jesus, give the man a break. He was inches away from winning the GF last year if it wasn't for a certain incident. We have played no where near our full potential this year and sit 3rd in the league! I firmly believe that we will win the GF this year, just be patient. Sports teams lose games, get over it.

Wane won the double in 2013, how would it be 3/4 years without a trophy???? If you're gonna slate the bloke at least try not to make things up.

Believe he meant 3 out of the 4 years Wane will have been in charged for will have ended trophyless if they don't win the GF this year.
Not that it's been 3/4 years since the last won a trophy.

When Madge left we'd just lost twice on the bounce to Saints let's not forget.
Wane then had to cope with the loss of several world class players (and practically all of Madge's team) who he was forced to replace with kids and under the radar signings. He's brought through several top class youngsters whilst still keeping Wigan at the top. Quite a coaching feat in my book.

Fair enough, I do think its unreasonable to hold last years GF loss against him, considering what happened.

| I'm in the middle on this, think Wane's done an excellent job with the player turnover he's dealt with including winning a double which Madge couldn't do, but the inconsistency of the performances this season has clearly been a problem. But looking forward we are in a good position going into the top 8 and it will be interesting to see how all the top teams cope with that change considering the last few seasons have been weighted towards peaking around September/October. If we fall short this year I suspect he'll stay on but similar mid season results next year will see him gone.

How do you know how old I am and how long I've been watching Wigan? Do you always make irreverent comments? Regardless of how old you might be it has nothing to do with Wigan's form this season under Wane.

Anyway... back to reality and the topic...
I'm not convinced either which way with Wane this season. We have to have high standards and win games, that's what his job is, to have the team winning games and silverware, if this doesn't happen than he's role as head coach has to be under scrutiny as we are here to win.
Parts of the season are promising, win against Leeds, Saints on Good Friday etc, but he runs the risk of coming up with nothing if we don't win the GF, that'll be two seasons on the bounce.
For every positive there's been something equally as poor, v KR in the CC, we were poor. V Cats away; terrible, plus a terrible record away from the DW.
Like ever professional job, a review will take place at the end of the season to review the state of play and Wane's future with the club. I would like nothing more for us to win every game and lift the GF trophy at the end of the season, I have no personal grudge with SW, I simply want Wigan to be a successful force winning trophies, with or without Wane.

| IL has always said he expects Wigan to be competing in Finals and winning them.
We didn't win anything last season although reaching the GF I felt Waney was let down.
IMO the Flower incident was made catastrophic for us by the match officials not sending both players off. Both warranted it but it didn't happen. That was not down to Shaun Wane.
Having seen the opposition most likely to compete again for trophies I feel we can certainly get to a Final and win it. Whether we do or nor remains to be seen.
SW's future as coach will depend on results as do all coaches jobs.
Win a trophy and he's safe. Fail to do so but reach a Final, may be safe as well.
Fail to win a trophy and not make the Final then he will be in difficulty.
