Looks like the first crusader for the re-prosecution of Flowers has now fully emerged.
Congrats on being a predictable cliche.

Mate, you could do with posting the same on your own board right now. Did you see Mugwump's toe-curlingly sad Tony Club post yesterday? I actually cringed for him while reading it. I don't mean figuratively either...I mean I actually cringed! Thankfully it seems that Saints fans are equally embarrassed by it. Could you not sort him out with a girlfriend or something? Please? Haha.

Haha Mugwump is acting like an absolute clown lately mate. I think he has had some sort of breakdown recently because his posts over the last month or so have been ridiculous. Either that or he's like Rogues and just loves the attention of provocative posts.

And just for the record, I never implied it was anything other - just trying to point to the idiocy of those who (as someone else has pointed out) put 2 & 2 together and got 5 (or in some cases 50).

| Passions seem to running a bit high, especially given the current situation, which to summarise is, Saints player retires citing concussion as the reason. As far as I can see in what I have read, he has NOT pointed the finger at any incident or anyone as the cause. Some in the media have linked the GF incident at the end of their reports on Hohaia retirement and its attribution to concussion injury. Some fans of the two clubs involved in last years GF seem to have taking to trading insults and accusations ref the incident at the GF. Take a step back and draw a breath before committing to these threads, stuff you might regret. For mine it is a shame that Hohaia has had to stop playing, I also think he has acquitted himself well in his comments about the incident at the GF. Also for mine and whilst in no way condoning the actions of Flower at the GF, the incident has been dealt with and he has served his suspension.

| At the moment, nobody knows the full facts. It might be that Hohia was suffering symptoms though last year. It might be that his symptoms are a result of a new injury suffered this year. It might be his symptoms are a result of the injury sustained in the grand final.
If the latter is the case it will be for Hohia to take the legal steps he is entitled to follow. His decision will be based on medical evidence, of which nobody here has enough knowledge of to comment.
I have a feeling it will end up in court.

another time I fell and had a severe pain and swelling in my foot.
I was later diagnosed with a broken bone in my foot.
Which time that I fell over should we attribute the broken bone to?
Similarly to how we don't know enough to assume it was the Flower incident, we don't know anything to say it wasn't.
We shouldn't assume these things are always an accumulation, nor should we assume they can't be attributed quite easily to a specific incident. What Flower did was so unacceptable and so beyond the bounds of acceptability because of the possible consequences. This may be one of them.'"
And it might not. Yet though they don't say it directly the journos deliberately imply it was. What your foot has got to do with it I don't know because as you basically went to to argue with yourself we don't know one way or the other.
Those who are saying "he was OK before Flower hit him and now he isn't so it must be Flower who did it" are not applying logic even if they thin they are. (Yes Allez I mean you).

I doubt Wigan (and more to the point their insurance company) would accept liability for the conduct of an individual employee.

Sure Dave. It must have had nothing to do with it at all, not sure how anyone could even claim the most spurious of links. I retract my earlier statements.

I'm not sure it would ever get that far anyway. Think for a second the precedent it would set. The lawyers would be the only winners & both codes plus wendyball would be sanitised to the point of a chess game (or draughts if you prefer).
And how far back would you go? Keane on that Norwegian lad? Or just three years as per statute? Minefield.

The precedent is already set. Haarland did indeed start legal action but couldn't prove it was solely keane's tackle that ultimately ended his career. However, Manchester United player Ben collet successfully sued both Gary Smith and Middlesbrough for a tackle that ended his career and was awarded over £4m.

It wouldn't be the first time in rugby either. Jarrod McCracken successfully sued Melbourne a few years back after a spear tackle by Stephen Kearney and Marcus Bai ended his career.
www.smh.com.au/news/League/McCra ... 21058.html
Of course, this is a completely different case and everyone is jumping to conclusions. However, given the coverage it garnered and the fact that it went way beyond what even the most blood thirsty fan would consider acceptable, don't be surprised. Let's face it, before the days of MMA it would have looked even more barbaric. Punching someone that has already been punched unconscious would not look good to a court, the only thing that would save it would be proving that the issues are being caused by that specific hit.

What was it you wrote about Walmsley & Crosby again? Or was it Sutton? Hmmmm ...
Anyhow, it's just a bit of a larf. You should learn to take life less seriously.
'"
You mean when I wrote at the end of last season that they were both good young players who had been good for their respective teams? It's called balance. You remember balance, don't you? That's as opposed to me writing everything Wigan is great and everything Saints is rubbish although I do realise that the concept is probably beyond you.
In fact, wasn't that the same thread where I also said Amor was quality and that Saints had potentially the best half back pairing in Superleague? Also that Walmsley had all the attributes to become one of the best in SL and an England international? I think you'll find it was. I now invite you to post where you have anything good to say about Wigan. That's anything....anything at all...No? thought not.
But it's not 'just a larf' is it? I've seen you completely lose it on threads many times where even Saints fans have turned against you and your puerile ramblings. You take it so seriously that I have feared for your wellbeing at times. In fact, the very first time I came across you on these boards was an instance where you seemed to be on the edge of a nervous breakdown and I posted directly to you to let it go for the good of your own health.
Every other post you make mentions Wigan, even when the thing being discussed has nothing to do with them. It's got so bad that you even posted the ridiculous 'I'm bored...let's start bashing pies' thread that is so mind-numbingly infantile, that it has attracted, to date 2 replies...both of them from you! Your own board finds you embarrassing. That's not my opinion by the way. That's directly from members of your own forum.
I'm glad you're so consumed with hatred for all things Wigan. At least it blinds you to how sad and pathetic you come across. If you ever saw yourself as others see you I genuinely think you'd die a little inside.
However, the really sad part is that you seem reasonably intelligent. Somewhere under all the bluster and hatred there could even be a worthwhile poster. Forgive me, though, if I don't hold my breath waiting for him to show up. It could be a long wait.
