That said, Shaun Wane will never have a better chance to see his team reach the Twin Towers. If Wigan don't get to the Challenge Cup Final now, he'll have a real problem explaining that to IFL.'"
Twin Towers? Showing your age there Cruncher.

With your game being on the wrong side of the Penninies, it does give Hull a psychological advantage. With all your semis being in Lancashire the past few years, it'll be interesting to se how you go in Yorks.
If we get through, by playing it at Leigh, I'm surprised they don't just switch it to the DW as it's practically a home game anyway.

Sheffield and Catalan tells us there are no such things as byes in this competition, especially given Widnes and London are SL teams. Both have beaten us over the last fews years as well.
Strong favourites - yes, byes - no.

London will bring about 14 fans. Not sure how packed the ground will be or what sort of atmosphere will be created.

It could be as low as 5,000 IMO.

CC odds Wire 5/4 Hull 9/1, not really 50/50 is it?

Oh yeah, bye no.1 done and dusted.

| Yeah like that's a comparison, if that had been a cup match it would have been a different kettle of fish.
Put it this way, if Henderson & Des had pulled out Wire v London i'd already have my wembley tickets, don't kid yourself London are pathetic, if you don't stick at least 60 on them i'll be surprised.

Yep, wire showed us last year how to dispose of London.
How many did they score? 62 to warringtons 18 or something similar.
Write a team off at your peril. We should have beat castleford, we didn't.

What, you're trying to say your big Good Friday derby means nothing?
Well I suppose it doesn't if you lose it - especially against a "bye" team.

| Week before cup final, i was at that game and it was obvious that they didn't want to get hurt, never seen such a lack of intensity it was like touch rugby, i'm getting a bit fed up if this attitude were we have to show faux respect, "oh we have Keighley in the cup, we can't let them blah blah", we'll annihilate them end of, like you'll destroy London, it's not arrogance if they're rubbish and you're honest. People moan about Eddie and Stevo bigging up rubbish games, you're doing the same in effect, bigging up a team who are at the bottom even though the team above them had a points deduction.
People bringing up past games against us to make a point too, what a silly way to make a point, there are always variable factors.
We rested against Widnes, if we had them in the cup yesterday do you think we'd have rested anyone?
Wigan want to win cups, they'll play full team at full intensity for 20 minutes be 30 points up then ease off, we all know it, don't lie to yourselves.
This isn't like Sheffield years ago or even Catalan, those teams were capable, London are not.

| The only silly point is people claiming there are "bye" teams in a one-off game, especially when they are SL teams.
I'd imagine the "bye" teams would be considerably better if they weren't playing Wigan, a bit like Hull suddenly being a 50/50 game when Warrington will be strong favourites.

To the fans yes, to the players and coach not so much, Tony thought he'd win this resting players, some needed the rest others he didn't want on the (i)njury pitch, they didn't step up, seem to recall you doing the same thing.
If every team played to their absolute peak, not one player having an off game, no errors or anything, no one could live with Warrington and Wigan, currently head and shoulders above anyone, now yes we all have days off but Widnes were never going to test you, come on, don't lie to yourself just so you can feel morally superior.
Don't kid yourself that you weren't jumping round the room when you drew London either, and yes Hull are capable of a big performance, we bring our A game and we win, certainly no walk over.
Are having a grown up conversation or co you just want to look good in front of your mates?
Hull beat us, they beat us because they had a superior game plan, we didn't play too bad but they had their tactics spot on. Tell me now many Hull players could potentially or actually make the England squad, then tell me his many London or Widnes players could. That shows they have quality, they'll out number us 2-1 in a neutral stadium and want it, going on percentages then instead if 50/50 lets say 55/45 Wire, happy?

I know using facts seems to get you a bit riled but Wigan have only won one game out of five all season again the rest of the top four so I wouldn't put Wigan head and shoulders above a number of teams, especially not given the fact no team ever plays to their absolute peak. Any team has a puncher's chance in a one-off game.
Quote ="Horatio Yed"Don't kid yourself that you weren't jumping round the room when you drew London either, and yes Hull are capable of a big performance, we bring our A game and we win, certainly no walk over. '"
Funnily enough I wasn't jumping around the room, but was pleased when we drew London, just as everyone else would given they are the weakest team left.

You're going to have to explain that one, it makes no sense to this grown up.

Well the bookies seem to disagree. Latest odds to win the cup.
Wire 13/10
Hull 8/1

| after reading most of the posts on this topic,i understand why most ppl cant stand your fans, many of the remarks may have been just *banter*but still a bit *arrogant*imo, they remind me of the wigan folk i used to work with at monks hall in the sixties, who, besides not being able to understand a word they were saying,as in --tho knowz, wot time buzz is? etc,i found them to be an arrogant bunch of ,head up there own as* tos*ers, just shows how some things never change, back on topic and rant over,i fancy wire to get to wembley and, with all the talent on show from wire and wigan it should be a great spectacle for not only wire and wigan fans but for all of the neutral fans and non rl fans as well , also i think that with all the -->>RECENT wembley success that wire have enjoyed in the past few seasons and the experience gained by the wire players from those victories will ,imo,be a big factor on the day of the final, and i expect a wire victory, cant wait!
