I'm not convinced there will be season tickets this year. There is no incentive for the club to offer them when they know they will comfortably sell out whatever reduced capacity we are permitted when crowds return. Plus it removes any potential headaches caused by deciding which season ticket holders are allowed in (presuming they sell thousands and are initially allowed less in attendance) and working out refunds for games held behind closed doors, at neutral venues, postponed or cancelled. Better for them just to sell individual tickets at full price until we're allowed full capacity.

The more I think about it, the more I think it may be the case. Season tickets come at a reduced cost for the ticket holder than if they were to go to every game and pay on the gate, so it takes headaches on refunds away and they will be getting top whack for each ticket they sell. The kids season tickets at £40 or whatever they are must account for a fair percentage of our overall season ticket holders and if the club instead sells kids tickets at a tenner or whatever per match, they’ll be earning good money on both adults and kids tickets and can keep evaluating the situation with maybe the possibility of selling half season tickets.

I suppose the risk would be getting past season ticket holders back in the future but that risk is there anyway.

The more pertinent question may be whether they can afford to keep match ticket prices the same if capacity is reduced for any lengthened period.

I'm very surprised at the amount of SL clubs selling season tickets - the admin to deal with refunds alone will cost them thousands.

I'd have thought the club would wait to see the advice given by Gov't on crowds attending whether that's cinemas, theatres, rugby or soccer.
There is a lot of pressure on the Gov't and I'd imagine that we'd know something more specific before the season starts which will allow them to allow crowds to attend be it restricted in some way or other.

The more I think on it the more this makes sense, no one knows if and when sport will be opened certainly not immediately I would assume so to not sell ST would make for much less hassle given the issues with both covid and the DW ticket office.

Be nice if the club said one way or another though as the ticket office issue, certainly doesn't seem any closer to being sorted than it was last July.

Poor do that, I’d have thought Rads and Lenagan would’ve had her on the blower discussing strategy. I loved the thread recently where she told somebody off for putting a rumour on about signings because she’d have Rads on the phone asking her who was leaking info because he knows she’s admin on that site

If that lad carries on there’s a risk he could be arrested and imprisoned under the West Stand.

Some clubs have already put statements out to that effect. Until we get the fixtures published and a roadmap as to when fans will be allowed into the grounds I don't see any point in issuing the season tickets, just put your money away somewhere safe ready for when the season tickets are available.

She may well be a lovely women (I don’t know her) but her reaction to that guys rumours on a rumours page was amusing. There definitely seems to be some sort of ‘I’m a super fan’ mentality to some of her posts but each to their own.

Exactly and that’s great that she loves the club so much but don’t hide behind it so you can bag somebody for putting rumours on a rumours page. That guy who is putting them on is throwing all sorts out there and little seems to come off but who cares?! I doubt Rads does in truth. She may as well just start a thread saying ‘Kris Radlinski has my phone number and he phones me’. That would’ve made exactly the same point.

I know of Josie seen her at games but never spoken to her but seems harmless enough.

No doubts about it, the club seems to be a huge part of her life and it is mine, so certainly not knocking her for that. It just made me chuckle the fact that the guy got hammered for posting a few rumour and even got the old ‘Rads will be on to me over this’ line.
