Plus the fact that there are far fewer away fans at Catalan games, which boosts the attendance at Wakefield and the like. Well over 10,000 of those fans are home fans, and they are an entertaining and passionate bunch as well.

Super League would benefit from another French team, as would the international game as France would inevitably end up far stronger. The Catalans success is evidence of this, but judging by the RFL's often baffling methods, I can't see it happening any time soon.

PS I would think that Catalans are every fans second team, how could you not like that lot?

If catalans hadnt made a bad start to the season they could of been top or close to it they are not far off now though!

Jones Bishop was excellent last week against us and was the first player I can remember in a very long time to ghost around Richards like he wasn't there.

Nailed on for England if he stays fit........then again I've just remembered who the coach is!

Test for both squads again - looks like we could be without Wellens, Wilkin, Meli, Clough, Wheeler, Gardner, Perry. Pryce could return though (at last!) and Kyle had a good game at FB, albeit against one of the worst teams SL has seen.

Cats could be without Sa, Ferriol, Dureau and probably some others. Dureau would be a massive loss and give Saints a very good chance of the points.

They're a great team to watch - big, aggressive pack and imaginative backs. Lovely stuff.

Just think what they'd be like if Bosc had been fit this season him and Dureau would have been a scary combination.

Perhaps the most telling thing is that he hasn't been missed. The job Trent Robinson has done is nothing short of amazing and if they carry on the way they're going he must be a great call for coach of the year.
Dureau, Henderson and Menzies have been immense but the signings of Blanch and Millard are proving to be very astute.

Catalan is the english version of Catalans, but as they are french, they are catalans. After all, you aren't known as Wigan Guerrers, and we are not the Warrington els llops.

Catalan like French has plural adjectives. Un català, dos catalans. There was a story about the club changing its name to Catalan Dragons and if you read match reports in many of the newspapers they are referred to as Catalan. I say each to their own. I have Catalan friends who call them the Dracs while I've also heard Catalans and Dragons.

As I've said on many threads on many boards Catalan(s) are by far the best team that has played at Wigan this season.

They were applauded by the Wigan speccies (and that takes some doing, sometimes we don't cheer our own). Dureau that night was outstanding and a joy (as an RL supporter) to watch. A fully fit and firing Catalan(s) is a major threat to any Superleague side.
