I think all teams have the idiot element it just seems to be more prevelant in Wire fans. I mean have any Wire fans ever had a Wigan fan attempt to throw a Vodka bottle at their car while getting in (from the OFFICIAL coach!) I doubt it.

That is all that colours my judgement as i have never encountered problems from any other team so its slightly easier for me to decide that they are the worst because, to me, they have been. Simple as really.

theres knobs everywhere mate, Got my car keyed right down one side in wigan (car 2 cars down had drivers side window smashed.) had my pregnant wife and 2 young lads abused by saints "fans" near knowsley road to the point where my lads were in tears, seen the hull s at warrington a few years back all dressed in black looking for trouble etc etc. So yes all clubs including mine have knobs but please, please dont try and say our scum is worse than anyone elses.

there isnt that many places that i go with rugby league that i feel a little wary, unfortunatly warrington is by far the worst place.
its gotten so bad that my sister and her friends have stoped going because some coward attacked a car full of girls on the way out last time.
and she goes to more games than me,
its sad when this happens, unfortunatly its indicative of the way society has gone and more of a relfection on the warrington town folk.

Yes, you were trying to imply that warrington was the only place that has scum. Look i love RL because i went when i was young and now i can take my own family to matches. My wife is from the north east and when we first started going together she was amazed how fans of both sides would drink side by side before games and even at some grounds stand side by side during matches without any trouble or undertones of violence. I for one will enjoy the banter with wigan fans on saturday and im certain that 99.9% of wire fans will aswell. Good luck and may the best side win. (though that will be us

There does seem to be more aggro at Warrington than any other ground. Now i've been to every single ground in SL [and most in C & C1 And have never seent he trouble anywhere that i've seen at Warrington. In February I was walking to pick up me and the Father's tickets from the ticket office, we go into the main reception bit to pick ours up as they're disabled tickets. Now people were queueing to get into the turnstiles so we had to just squeeze past to get to the other side. I walked up to some fella asked kindly 'Excuse me, can I just squeeze past' and this guy just starts hurling abuse and tries to start fighting with me! I mean, it's not like I was trying to get infront of him in the queue, just merely to get past him. Its instances such as this that give Warrington a bad name.

Do you know what? I saw that happen as I was stood waiting for someone at the club shop at the time! It was no kid either, a bloke in his late forties / early fifties.....big fat get with dark curly hair. I saw him looking you over and the only reason he gave you grief was that you had Wigan gear on. (It was only a friendly FFS)! I remember being disgusted at the time at his behaviour, however to be honest he looked a bit on the simple side.

Yeah that was him! Absolute tool. I was completely polite, and like you say he was only having a go because I had my Wigan jersey on. I don't want to tar the whole club and their fans with the same brush, but it only takes one idiot to ruin the reputation of an entire organisation.

well said. And believe me wire has some real s aswell, but lets put this into perspective here, warrington and wigan are not the benchmark of society, try going to some of the poop holes of glasgow, leeds, manchester, liverpool, birmingham, london, etc etc and you will find a majority of decent people being tarred by societys wasters.

Problem Warrington have with some of their fans is that a good bit of the town was used as an overspill for Salford and Liverpool and these fans are more used to the football thing were you automatically despise opposing fans, even to the extent that they dare not, at away games, cheer their own side.

The old style wire fan is really a carbon copy of a Wigan fan and they do love their RL. They've even got a statue of Brian Bevan, not tucked away in some hard to find corner but right on a roundabout at one of the busiest junctions in the town. That's more than can be said for Wigan. We should have a statue of Boston or Sullivan at the Saddle junction.

No I honestly was not implying they are the only that have scum. I know we do as other teams fans have experiences of it and I know the Hull sides definitely do as they've been in the press about it but FOR ME the only team IVE had trouble with is Wire.

That means that PERSONALLY IN MY EXPERIENCE all I have seen is WIRE fans misbehaving.
