First impressions of Singleton are positive for me. We have needed some 'grunt' up front for a while now. Also, after looking at the last Salford game, the whole pack seemed to have 'upped' their workload . I am looking forward to see how Singleton copes with the St Helens pack this Friday.

It’s a good thing in many ways but I thought it was Singletons least effective performance tonight just based on what he physically brought (carries, metres, tackles etc) but he lead from the front, wound up the likes of Graham and gave space to other guys. I thought Bullock and especially Partington were fabulous. I’d have gone between Partington or Greenwood for MOM.

The whole Lees/Singleton/Amor for a combined team debate looked like it had forgot a contender tonight with how Partington played.

Outstanding. He has a great engine and his attitude is something that can’t be coached. I felt he was the best prop on the field tonight (well ‘middle’ we’ll have to say) and we can be pretty pleased with his development to date.
