Rumours about Graham seem hardly believeable, that Saints would let such a talented player go.
What bothers me more is Eastmond.
He is ooc 2010 and Union are already sniffing. I do hope that if Saints can't afford to keep him, rather than just let him to go to Union I hope they allow other Rugby League clubs to offer him a contract to keep him in the game.
Under the current rules no League club could approach Eastmond until after 1st Septmeber 2010 but he could be signed up long before then by Union. If a League club made an offer to the player before 1st Septmeber then Saints could report them to the RFL, they be fined and his registration withheld.
This would be a massive decision by Saints but I hope it's one they would consider if they felt he was not going to stay at their club. As a Wigan fan obviously I'd love him to come here but if not I'd rather he went to Leeds or another League club, anything but lose the lad to Union!

not read the saints board have friend who works at chadwicks in standish where lots of playrs visit regular. he talks to shaun wayne regular. this has obv not come from shaun wayne. like i said do not know if true but its what i have heard

If we land Graham Ian Lenegan will get the keys to the town.

I know we've been through this before and nothing is set in stone in regards to Hock but I'd take him back!

Bringing Hock back means we get a good player on a cheap wedge and other cap space can be invested more easy elsewhere!

If signing Hock means we can outbid Saints for Eastmond then it's a no brainer for me

Hock comes back without question for me if he proves on a regular basis that he's cleaned up his act.

Fair point, but they would be stupid to let him go, if it was the same situation the other way around you expect us to get them signed on long term deals.

I think we have a shot at Eastmond due to Fielden leaving and we will have room for 2 very good players on his huge wages but the other half will not be big enough to get Graham, he will stay at saints and if he doesn't due to reasons away from public knowledge, he will not be coming to Wigan, take my word for it.

Thats a question i've been asking myslef. He won't know much about him and has no reason to show the lad any loyalty.

He may decide he doesn't want that sort of influence around his squad.

I agree that Hock should come back though if he proves himself. If he gets in to more bother while not playing we would surely have to sign someone else.

I would love to have him back though, I think we will be missing someone like him this year.

Any side would miss Hock. He's a matchwinner and a big tough lad but some coaches would rather not have that ability if he was a bad influence around the place.

I'm sure McGuire along with Wane and the rest of coaching staff/Senior players will get their heads together in due course and sort out whats going to happen.

Would Hock himself want to come back? what if one or two of the other clubs try to sign him and offer him a bigger wedge, after all he will be a free agent i presume

This is for me why the club should look after him and make sure he stays on the straight and narrow, that way when he is getting back ready to play he'll choose us because of are history with him and are good treatment of him whilst banned.
