Mcguire is a very good scrum half and alway plays great there for us and has played at 7 for gb!

peacock is a prop and will play prop end of.

O'Loughlin has played for England as a centre, that doesn't mean that he's a centre.

He isn't a scrum half, simple as that. Unfortunately we only have untested ones in the squad and that may force the coaches hand, but Jonathon Thurston must be shaking in his boots.

I didn't agree with him getting the man of the match in the that game - Thought Peacock deserved it. But having one man of the match performance doesn't entitle him to Inernational selection. He has a good kicking game, but as a loose forward he is behind O'Loughlin, Burgess & even Wilkin. He should be nowhere near the England team.

He's not been able to hold down the position at Saints, it's far too early for him at this level.

Mcguire is a quality 7 and has played there plenty of times for Leeds! Plenty of times this season infact and for gb!

thurston won't be shaking in his boots whoever he lines up against! But mcguire is on of a few backs we have that the Aussie/kiwi media and players actually respect!

Would use him coming off the bench, hopefully exploiting holes in tired defensive lines.

Sinfield has played once for GB at nine. He has filled in for Leeds about half a dozen times.

That doesn't qualify as plenty for mine.

He isn't International class though to be a 13, he's been found out every time he's played at 13. The only time he's ever played well was at 9.

I was talking to the lads at work about Sinfield @ 9, but the more I think about it, I would go with either Moore or Roby @ 9, and Eastmond on the bench. I worry about our hookers at international level. That's why I would have picked either Diskin or Cunningham in the 24.

Our natural hookers aren't anything to rave about, to put an artificial one would compound the problem.

In that case then he shouldn't be in the 17, Sinfield hasn't got the toughness to be a 13 at International level. He hasn't done it yet and never will IMO, same as Wilkin. Neither have that physical toughness that the likes of Locky, Ellis, Peacock and Morley have.

So who does the kicking then?

I don't think the aussie's and the Kiwi's will know too much about Eastmond. I say bring him off the bench late on in each half and let him have a run at them.

That is a good point, and a reason to have him in the xiii. Not only can he do the goal kicking he can do the field kicking as well, but we need a back up and Lockers and Eastmond can provide that. I would also think of playing Wilkin in the Centre's.

I don't think this is the time to start experimenting with players playing in positions they never play.

Well it's very strange. Last year Sinfield had a major fall out with Smith in Australia after Smith took the kicking duties off him.

Yeah and look where that got us! That lump purdham missing easy conversions From next to the posts and kicking the ball out on the full from the kick off and in general play! Not to mention his school boy knock on on the second tackle 10 meters out from the kiwi line when we had them on the rack with a few minutes to go!

Did I mention it was a world cup semi final? We needed sinfield that day! A true big game player! another TS world cup blunder!

If you're talking about goal kicking, Eastmond can do that. Even under pressure on a big occasion, as was evidenced at the Grand Final. (I still can't get over how well he kept his head when Francis Meli's was falling all around us - shows just how little experience can matter).

A true big game player that has never stepped up in any international he's played in.

Same could be said about Leon Pryce

Which is probably a reason why he's been dropped for this series.

So if Sinfield isn't of the required calibre, who is?
