Interesting game though.

Probably the best call on a poor thread.....Half time came at the right time for Wire. Saints were on a big roll and Wire were on the back foot and struggling to regroup.

Second half started as a close battle, but Monaghan was the difference.....Arguably the 2 best hookers in the comp on show tonight and Monas just came out on top.

Sorry to disappoint you but most were just commenting on the actual game played....with a few players back i would be more worried about facing Saints than the Wire..you lot just need to worry about beating Hudds in the future..

I've also got to say... Foster's kick from half way ONTO the cross bar would have been great had it been a penalty kick. A very unlucky moment for him. An inch less on it, and it would have been a ricochet and possibly regaining possession. I think he'll be feeling more deflated than anyone else in the Saints side tonight.

This post sums up this thread. The only intelligent comments have come from Rogues (which I would Expect), and King Warrior (how did London go?). The rest are just awful. There was nothing wrong with the Wire fans tonight and both sets of supporters behaved superbly during the events prior to the match to commemorate the death of a a former Warrington player, who was also a Wigan lad. Did any of you bother to listen to Paul Wood after the game?

Must admit this thread is pretty silly in parts but the Wire were very poor with the high tackles tonight, nearly every other was one, Silverwood was unusally weak..

Honestly Wire put a lot of high shots in, i think it was players being lazy due to being tired, if never seen so many high shots by our guys and as for someone saying Morley is a dirty player, very rarely at Wire has he done anything of note, the guy really sorted his game out and is usually a very solid professional player. The Morley of old is long gone.

Really enjoyed that game tonight, alright it wasn't the best defensive of games you'll see, but in those conditions I thought there was some excellent tries, in particular the Gaskell one. I don't think anyone would of predicted such a high scoring game in those conditions before the ball was kicked off so credit the 2 teams for putting on a good show I say.

Times must me changing when have you ever seen a thread on wire v saints and most wanting saints to win. Its got to be good for the game that new challengers for the league title are out there instead of the usual.

tonights game wasnt nearly as good as people are making out. defensively both teams were poor and as wigan fans we would be disappointed if we defended like either team tonight. The game was marketed well throughout and made to sound a better game than it actually was. a little but disappointed to be honest. Saints were terrible and made wire look alot better than they actually were tonight. poor from both teams, and just because both teams cannot defend and let in plenty of points doesnt make it a great specticle.
