What I actually said was that I thought McIlorum would play senior International Rugby League which he has (for Ireland) but I accept that I was talking about England / GB, add as he is only 22 that could very well still happen, if he stays clear of injuries which have blighted him for the last two or three years.

Although I still have doubts about Mcilorum’s ability to effectively replace piggy at hooker next season I’m more than confident he’s our long term #9.

Looking around at the other English hookers it’s not crazy to think he’ll get some sort of look in if he stays at Wigan. We’ve currently got a LF playing hooker for England and although imo he’s doing a good job it’s crying out for a new #9 to step up. Roby is heading that list but after that it’s an open field.

As a former coach of the club Josh came from, Chorley Panther, I can honestly say he will be a great asset to you. He has always shown the right spirit to make a verygood pro player. Obviously going to HKR to gain some vital first team experience. Enjoy his talent whilst you have him.

Had a decent game, for a debut with an unfamiliar team, but there's a lot more to come from him yet. His communication with Fox was poor at times, understandably, and once they get used to each other that wing will be sorted!

I loved the way Leeds kept attacking that side, and came up with (almost) nothing.

Its easy to get carried away with a debut performance like that as he was clearly up for it! However I think over the next few weeks he will show that he is upto scratch! Just shows another talent through our youth system despite this myth from fans of certain jealous teams down the road that we just sign foreigners!!

very impressed with him. what a fantastic attitude and mindset this kid has, missed a bad tackle early doors and recovered to have a blinder. considering how little time he had with the squad showed himself in a really good light. the lad looks physically strong now so give him a couple of years and we could have a very good talent on our hands. if it wasn't for an ankle tap from burrows would have scored a very good debut try, whilst putting old man senior in on is a$$ in the process. Good lad

Not a chance. He looked excellent last night. Bodes well for Wigan in the future, we have so many talented youngsters coming through.

And to think that we still have Stef Marsh, Ian Thornley and Ryan King progressing through the ranks.

found myself cheering for HKR . great to see josh do so well on his first SL game.I have been watching the academy for last few seasons. Josh realy stepped up last season and has continued to progress at a rapid rate. well done to the lad.
