| I expect it with most of my posts - People don't like hearing the truth, that's why they reply in such a way - Yeah they're entitled to their opinion, but come on, let's be real eh?

Look back through my posts and I've always suggested a softly softly approach with the younger players.
However, IF we have injuries like we appear to have, then particularly as we are playing one of the lower teams then Ainscough or Tomkins should be given a chance.

You aren't really telling the truth though
People want to see the likes of Ainscough and S.Tomkins because they are very good, young players that have come through the ranks and think they can do just as good if not better job than the likes of Phelps etc.
They are the future of the club but if they aren't getting games there is wasted potential.
The RFL have introduced the license system so that young talents such as Ainscough and Tomkins can come through and develop into top players. This system has proven extremely successful in Australia but if we aren't going to take advantage we will always be stuck with aussie rejects when we all want to see young Wigan talents develop into the top class players we know they can be. Yes it will take time and patience but it will definitely be worth it

| Castleford at home is ideal to play Tomkins or Ainscough as would Salford and Celtic be too. Saints or Leeds they shouldn't be anywhere near.
Hull played Paul King, Thackray & Manu (thugs r us) they'd have killed Tomkins or Ainscough!
Noble's got it right!

Yeah i'd love to see them play, Sam's quality, he's fast, he's skillful, clever... He's exciting to watch - But what i'm saying is, Noble's right not playing him - He knows when to bring him in - He's not ready yet - You could see that at Warrington, he was a little ball greedy, and did a few stupid things - Even though he scored a hatrick.
It's debatable though i'll give you that - Because with Daz Goulding, he got offered a first team game, and look at him now - he's a first team regular at Number 3 - But then again, that wasn't with Noble at coach - And Noble is by far a better coach who knows what he's doing.
He won't be playing Ainscough or Sam against Cas, and if he does i'll be suprised - If you ask me, he should put them on loan, see how they do.

lenaghan said pre-season that there wouldn't be any players loaned out.
if we leave them too long it could be another mark flanagan. remember that best in the country school boy we snatched from under the noses of bradford and a host of the other clubs?
he's now 21 and has played no more than a handful of first team games.

And Wakefield? Wigan have to accept that they are now in the same category as the likes of Celtic and Salford, they have no god given right to win games, and have no easy games to throw in players who aren't ready for Super League. Games like Cas at home (and Wakey) will increasingly be real battles for Wigan, and they can't afford to keep dropping points against the other lesser sides. Wigan are a long way behind Saints and Leeds, and a fair distance behind the likes of Hull, Warrington, Cats, Huddersfield and Bradford.

Would this be the same Saints that lost at HKR, Casleford and Huddersfield last season, then scraped home with a late penalty v Wakefield.
Lets see how things are going mid season before making stupid assessments.

Loan wouldn't be a bad idea but is very unlikely to happen as someone mentioned IL said no-one would be going out on loan.
I am a firm believer of 'If your good enough, your old enough' and with the license system now is as good a time as there will ever be to give the lads a chance as there is nothing to lose. Ainscough has been praised by the aussies (which doesn't happen often so we know we have a talent) and even Stevie Wonder could see Sam's got talent

Exactly, and seeing how far we are ahead of you men, and think how much you struggled against them. It shows that there are no easy games at all for you nowadays.
Though I have to say that the attempt at trolling by SomersetSaints was very poor, even I'd give him 0/10.

| Quote ="LordLoveRocket87"who are these people who say we should play ainscough - You obviously have no idea - Yeah he had a good game against Warrington, but we were playing against kids - People who he plays week in week out in the reserves.
Ainscough would not be a handful - He's fast, but thats it - Like someone else said, he's a no brainer.
Why do people think that the likes of Sam Tomkins etc. can save Wigan? Based on pre-season games against kids... We've got an awsome squad as it is, your just being impatient - They aren't ready to play yet - Sam Tomkins would get thrown around the field against the likes of Saints and Leeds, as would Shaun A.'"
Sam Tomkins is 20 this year. If he isn't ready to play by now he never will be. Other clubs play players younger than this regularly and successfully.
If Noble does not think they are ready then why are they on our books at all? The Cas game won't be an easy game but which ones are?
I don't think Sam Tomkins will be Wigan's saviour but I do think we might play better with Smith at 7 and him at 6 with TL hooking with either Riddell or McIllorum. I'd like to see it tried by our esteemed coach because I don't think he knows what his best formation is.
He played him once last season and along with Ainscough let the games against weaker teams go by without giving them a run out. He looks to be doing it again and only including Ainscough in the 19 because of injuries.
This is not the way to develop these players or retain them at the club and is one of Noble's biggest failings IMO.

Just like he did with Joel - he prob would be out at the end of this year if we hadnt had the injurys last year. It seems like he is afraid to take the risk - you would have thought he would have learnt with Joel that it is worth the risk. I just dont understand

I really can’t see what Noble can offer us anymore. I really think he’s taken us as far as he can.
Say what you want about finishing third two seasons on a row I really don’t think we’ve progressed as much as some Noble lovers say we have.
We are 2 inconsistent during the season and play an error strewn brand of boring rugby which has zero plan b when one is needed. We aren’t the fittest team in the league and have a 2nd rate backroom staff imo.
Our juniors don’t seem to progress at the levels other teams youngsters do even tho our junior teams seem to be a cut above the rest of the leagues bar Saints and Leeds?
Noble has to take the blame for all these IMO and it’s time for us and Noble to move on to new things.
