So lets look at the Westwood rumour in a bit more detail:

1) one month ago an additional two year contract extension of a contract with more than a year left to run was announced;

2) Yesterday he had his testimonial year launch event;

3) Today he announces his charity partner (which is a charity very close to him for personal family reasons) for his testimonial season.

The last time this poster disputed something I posted it took less than half a page before he had done a u-turn and was agreeing with what I had posted (months before).

Given the above I don't think your translation skills are up to much.

I don't have to back anything up or justify anything at all about this rumour as it is exactly that, a rumour. It will continue to be a rumour until anything is confirmed and that is why I posted it on the RUMOURS thread. For what it's worth and if it stops some of the bile that is being spouted (more by a worried wire fan than anybody) I will clarify that I said I can't see it happening for various reasons but the person that told me is a little bit too credible to completely ignore.

I also don't need to justify other rumours, some of which I have posted have been untrue and some of which have turned out to be the case. They are rumours that I have posted to create discussion and things that I have been told by people that are very closely linked with the sport. The problem is 50% of people want to sensibly discuss the rumours but the rest want to just belittle, argue or spout bile.

I tend to just post rumours about signing etc that I have been told rather than just stuff that I've dreamt up but again they are either discussed, dismissed or even deleted straight away (like when I said that the brad game wasn't going to go ahead until the RFL payed Bradford players insurance, something that was confirmed shortly after my thread was dismissed and deleted by the mods)

I will continue to post things I hear as some may want to discuss sensibly, I'll just ignore the bell***s that reply with answers that I don't consider to be sensible

Well said, some people on here seem to forget it's a rumours and signings page. All you discussed was you heard a RUMOUR about a SIGNING. Pity you get people on here who have problems with such a notion.

Thought it had been announced that Lockers had signed. MM has signed a new deal but I believe there was an ongoing discussion between the club and MM's agent about the length of the contract. it was either a 3 or 4 year deal

Lockers 5 years and Charnley 4 I believe.

True, but with the SC Hock is probably by far the most cost effective player we could have there (I'm assuming he's on nowhere near as much as Westwood/NRL players etc by virtue of him coming back into a contract after a big ban, still at his hometown club etc). As I'm sure you'll agree. You're right there are others better irrespective of limitations of finance, but not by much.
