| Quote ="The Yellow Giraffe"Only FPN out of those mentioned deserves a ban for me.
The Tomkins one looked bad at first but Fleming was falling and it was more instinctive than anything from Tomkins.
Penalty sufficient for the Isa and Crosby ones. The Crosby one actually came off the shoulder.
I don't like the cannonball tackles and a ban to Mossop wouldn't shock me but I've seen worse and he might just get off with it.
Haven't got a clue what FPN was playing at though. Hair pull, tackling a man without the ball and a half punch/half slap all within 60 seconds. Not made himself look good there at all.'"
Bang on really. Mossops was no worse than I saw Isa do and 2 Saints players during the game. The main difference is there was a slight kerfuffle to the Mossop one that drew attention to it. FPN to cop a ban, penalty sufficient for the others. Must admit the Percival one on Tomkins looked awful at the ground but contact was to the chest, no issue there.

There's a lot of tainted optimism floating round the Wigan board
As a casual observer, who couldn't care less who wins, I don't think Wigan can win this game unless the codheads throw it.

Oh come on,even the most rabid, one eyed, biased Wigan fan could see that Swift was playing at the ball and Sarginson was playing at the man.

Based on what, we haven't been playing that well, more grinding out results, a couple of weeks ago after we had lost to the bottom two and you had beat Catalan and Wakey, you were red hot favourites.
As everyone has been saying you have had plenty of injuries and some will be back next week.
Still a 50/50 game IMO.

| well we've got an entire season of form and playing style/tactics to use to make a prediction
imo, the way wigan have played so far this season whilst being effective enough to get them where they are, isn't going to beat hull if hull play their this season game.
it is a semi, play off, one off game whatever you want to call it, in that respect anything can happen, but the season say's it ain't a 50/50 game.
I'm gonna have to give wigan 12 start

A few months good form vs years of big game experience.
I hope you haven't booked your Wembley ticket yet chief.

| I couldn't care less who wins the hull wigan semi.
As an observer, untainted by fannyisms for either club, I can only see a win for Hull, I'm giving Wigan 12 start, that's just my opinion based on the past 20 odd games and current form, you, sky, eddie and stevo or anybody else has a god given right to disagree with that if they want.
The tickets were booked along with the bus 3 months ago, on y wanes say so, so that's that.

| A Saints fan in my extended family has just been trying argue that Sarg should be banned because "he shoved Swift into the advertising boards" and in his eyes "could have broken his neck". Nothing in that one for me, the pitch was slippy and both players running at speed. They're a soft bunch in St Helens!

That incident was a perfect example of the tactics teams are using against us currently which is to blow things out of proportion and to get in to the referee. It happened a good 4 or 5 times on Friday for nothing incidents and it was the same against Leeds.
The high pitched screams from the Saints end upon viewing the replay of the Tomkins high tackle was hillarious! A guy slips as he steps the full back and gets a gentle brush across the face but from the screams you'd think he'd took a chainsaw to him!! It was clearly a penalty but an absolute non starter in terms of it being malicious.

This is hilarious, you lot talking about 'getting' at the ref, even on sky they were saying Tomkins was trying to tell the ref how to do his job all the game and a couple of months ago didn't your manager send Bateman back on the pitch at half time to have words with the referee.

You're right to enjoy it...... Whilst you can! We all know he's pulled your pants down countless times in the past and that this season was never gonna be his best after so long out with the injuries. I have not a single doubt in my mind that it won't be long before he tears you a new hole and laughs at you again.

Thats true, but he's a shadow of his former self these days. I can't see him getting legendary status compared to Radlinski for instance,

IF it's true that LMS bit him then that's ridiculous and even as a Saints fan I hope he gets a lengthy ban for it; however I am yet to see any evidence to prove he did bite him.

Well at no point in the aftermath of the incident has FPN intimated that he has been bitten, hasnt brought it the ref's attention, or to his teammates when they are around him. So seems like clutching at straws to me. Well played LMS for winding him up. Just wait till he faces other players that will do the same thing

I'm with you,IF he bit him then he deserves a ban,BUT there is nothing that shows he did. FPN grabs hold of LMS's hair and drags his head down to his chest but there is nothing that shows a bite and you would imagine he would of jumped up yelling he bit me if it was the case. If you read the Aussie press at all you will know he has form and had pulled hair before Aaron Woods being the most recent.

I,m judging his shadow in the full back duty role, currently he has the worse average gain in super league for that position and has failed to make 50 metres in 5 out of his 8 starts. I know Wane has him being more involved in the creative ruck area to help out Smith and Williams but Wane needs to decide if he is more damaging running deep from the full back position as per pre NRL.
Wigan fans are still debating whether he can operate at 6, if his leg problems persist and hence loses pace then I can't see him returning to be one of the best full backs in super league.............hence the shadow implication.

There's none so blind......
I guess mowing over his chest with his mouth opening and closing is not biting, must be me who's daft. Bit like the invisible shot on ST while he was in the air.
