| Going to be a cracking player for us in the run in - but I do think his defence looks suspect at times.

Correct. You don't become a Melbourne first team regular through luck. Will be a cracker once he gets into the swing!

| I think, it was a case of him trying too hard, you can see that he's more relaxed now, and he's form is picking up.

| I thought he was a great player when he arrived here but needed needed to pick up some form very quickly otherwise it could cost us. I think he's been pretty good over the last few weeks but I thought he was crap against Bradford! It's a crazy world.

| As many have said - for me he's improved every time he's got out on the pitch.
With injury and Melbourne missing the playoffs, he hadn't played for a long time, and it was bound to take a while to get up to speed to our style.
Fingers crossed he keeps improving and is at his peak for the QF.

| I remember coming on here after the Leeds game away when we snatched a draw, complaining at the number of fans at the game giving him a hard time all game. Then for weeks after I read stuff on here from the majority of people slagging him off saying hes not good enough for wigan etc. Therefore, out of the 23 who voted already liked him, I'd say at least 15 of you are lying. But oh well, as long as he continues to improve everyone can be happy then.

| He has been doing everything Deacon has been doing for a good few weeks now.... at Bradford he started to show he can break tackles and create things, we even saw that he has some pace. He is quicker than I thought.
His kicking game could still be better but after Sam went off he was doing most of it, I think it would be better if he could share it like he did with Cronk at Melbourne.
I was very impressed with him and I don't think many fans realise what injury he has come back from. He didn't have a huge pre-season like the rest of the team.
This year we are building throughout the season which should see us hit form for the back end. We have the 3 new players who will only get better and better as they settle in, especially Finch and then we have world-class players (on their day) like Hock and Fielden to come back and also Hansen who is a key player for us.

| Not really sure which option in that poll sums my feelings on Finch up te best. You don't get selected to play State Of Origin 3 times without having something about you
Have I been disappointed so far? Yes
Do I think he's improving? Yes
Do I think we've seen his best form in a Wigan shirt? Not by a long way
I'm certain Finch will come good by the business end of the season though

Agree with this. Was maybe expecting a bit too much from him straight away after his injury lay off but have every confidence he is going to continue to improve and be a key player for us.

This for me. I still find sometimes Deacon does the simple things better and we are quicker when we switch the play, or would people say this is more down to teams knowing what to expect now from us this year?
I like Finch's option of playing the flat pass, seems a move him and Hoffman have brought from Melbourne. Still expect a lot more from Finch but he's settling and if he carries on at this rate, come GF time we will be fine

| Never really watched him play in the NRL so i have no idea of how good he can be but based on his form so far i hope he is going to get a lot better.
He just doesnt look settled to me, yes he had a decent game at Bradford and has shown some nice touches - especially some of his long range passing but some of the wayward passing and poor kicking / decision making frustrate me.
Out of the three new signings Finch is the one that needs to improve the most imo - i hope thats sooner rather than later.

| For people criticising his short passing game - its the players around him who need to adapt to his passing, Hoffman always catches them and makes plenty of yards. I cant wait to see Hock running from an angle onto one of Finch's passes. Try time!

I agree that the idea of the short ball has been good but his execution was poor in his first few games, sometimes picking the wrong pass and sometimes just throwing the ball far too hard. Now hes had more training sessions and games under his belt the players a now getting closer to being on the same wavelength.

| Just watched the replay of the Bradford game and Finch had a very good game. His timing of the pass is whats improving week on week and he looks far fitter aswell. He will continue to improve as he plays more games and the other players(especially our backrowers) get to know his game and run better lines for him.

| Finchs pass for Farrell for Fazs try was nothing short of superb.
Okay it was a 1 yard pass, but it was made at the right time - all Farrell had to do was put it down after a little jink.
Kepp Faith in Finch.

It was a fine pass and i'm sure theres plenty more of them in his locker especially when players run good lines like Faz did in that instance. In Farrell we have a young lad that makes very intelligent movements close to the opposition try line and him and Finch really could build up a great understanding.

| Begining to warm, and hopefully he plays his best for Wigan.
I'm not getting too excited about his long term future as MM needs both a new 6 & 7 at the Rabbits next season and expect Finch to take one of those places; hopefully the other place goes to a Ozzie currently in the NRl and not from us.
