Anyone know when the appeal verdicts are generally announced, or does it vary week to week?

Not sure exactly but a lot of the decisions seem to come out around 5-6pm.

Going off past form Wellens will be fine. It's been a case of appeal and get off generally if you have a one game ban.

Has an excellent previous record, not sure how far back the online records go but this is Wellens first ever case to answer.

As Brent Webb got away with no matches for shoving a ref, I can't see why Wellens will get a ban for a lesser penalty with just as good a prior record as webb.

I'm actually surprised it hasn't been overturned. Not as surprised that Briers sent a letter to the RFL to help his cause.

Normally agree with you but not on this one. Wellens has been outstanding in the last couple of games and has led the revival just as much as KC and Rush. You could see how much he was hurting after the Bradford game, he would run through a brick wall for that team. I am happy he isn't playing. Instead they will have players without experience in jey positions.

Laffranchi was also starting to hit form so I am glad he won't be playing either.

We are without Fielden, Roberts, Mossop, Farrell, Lauaki and Flower. 5 of those would probably play if fit, maybe even all 6.

We need as much help as we can get with us being so weak on the bench.

The name and presence of Wellens missing is a big boost for Wigan.

The player himself missing may not be as big but his presence is huge IMO

I agree about Roberts, but Flower has played in every game he's been available for this year. He's certainly part of Wigan's first 17. Fielden is the one who doesn't really count as missing given that he hasn't played in ages.

What makes you say that about flower? As cherry.pie has stated he has played every game hes been available for this year and he would be in my starting 17 every week even if everyone is fit. Hes been a great signing so far.

Laffranchi missing is significant for Saints - he has been outstanding in recent weeks and has really been a leader for them in the forwards.

Wellens has been playing well and again he has been one of the leaders in the side so will be missed.

The player i am most worried about is TP who can sometimes seem unstoppable - having him back is massive for them and our forwards will really need to be prepared for him.

Think it will be a close one.
