Stop your skriking .
You've got about 3 regulars of your starting 13 players out. Tough cack. Your the best team since the inception of RL so you should take such minor deflections in your stride.
Not sure why you feel we are compelled to uphold the worth of SL when we have obviously failed so miserably in recent history to delive any silverware.
By the way I still hope you snot the Aussies on Sunday and genuinely fully anticipate that you will rise to the occassion on the night even if you are one or two senior players missing.

That is 5 STARTING players. I doubt you or Saints could boast that in your injury list although i haven't checked. Anyone would have thought that against Huddersfield we had a full side against an amateur team but SKY conveniently failed to recognize our injury list. We were being put down because our strength in depth was a lot better than Huddersfield's. Blame Paul Anderson, not an injury list.'"
How does Lomax, McDonnell, Percival and Roby stack up, as for Mossop didn't he play in the reserves last week?

| On that subject it's an interesting one. Presuming Lomax and McDonnell eventually being fit at the same time what will happen regarding positions? Lomax was looking primed to be No.1 before his injury and that is McDonnell's strongest position. Will one of them go to 6.?

| Lomax is comfortably a better player then McDonnell when both are fit. If he comes back anything like from his injuries he'll walk the fullback spot.

I think that has been answered by Cherry_, saints have struggled in the halves for far too long, so Lomax at 6/7 with McDonnell at full back would not unbalance the team.
On your second point, we are all entitled to our opinion and I respect yours.

| If Tomkins was playing I think we would have nicked it. As it is, I'm just not sure what we're going to hurt them with at this stage of the season, unless we pull some new tricks out of the bag.
Add to that our defence in the game last year was phenomenal, the best display of the year in that regard. We'll have to match that and then some as they now have a better surface to play on.
Would be great to win but can't see it and I'm afraid looking at it objectively all the signs point to a bad weekend for the Super League.
Looking forward to the games though and really hope I'm wrong.

| Has their been any announcement of who is reffing your game? Silverwood is doing Leeds and Thaler the Saints game but yours is still TBC on the RFL site. Matt Cecchin from Australia is reserve ref on Friday and VR on Sunday and I can't imagine they've brought him over just for those roles so my guess would be that he'll ref your game providing he doesn't have to come off the bench as reserve ref on Friday night.

Yes it's him.
Wigan had a first team vs reserves training run with him reffing the game the other day to get used to his refereeing style.
Wane confirmed this on Wigan TV.

| Think you guys have the best chance this weekend against Oz. No doubt you'll be chuckling all the way through the Cowboys annihilation of Leeds as much as you did last night in the Saints match. We (SL) are so far behind Oz it's embarrassing.

What's changed in the last 3 years, surely neither competition has change quality too much?
2012 beat pretty much a full many team
2013 lose by a couple of points to a full Melbourne team, in a game where we actually bombed a couple of tries and was missing Hardaker
2016 SL teams dont have a chance??????
Saints were beat before the whistle blew you could hear it in the stands that no one thought they were going to win
Us fans have to back our teams fully and try get some positive atmosphere going
If the players believe they can do it they can

| I hope we really go for it tonight, full throttle aggression right in their faces. Niggling, wrestling, punch ups, the lot. Unsettle them early on and get the moaning barstewards rattled.
Standard Wane performance really

| I don't mind if you win or lose...but if you lose make it a valiant loss going down at the last minute by a dg or penalty or the freakiest try known to rugby, don't embarrass a whole RL nation like Saints have done 2 years on the bounce.

| I can't wait for tonight's game between 2 of the worlds best sides,I think it will be a very close contest with a victory of around 6-8 points either way
I just wish that Sam was playing as he would have swayed the game our way
Quote ="Wire Yed" don't embarrass a whole RL nation like Saints have done 2 years on the bounce.'"
Saints have been an embarrassment to SL these past 2 seasons with their feeble pathetic performances
If we put in that kind of showing tonight I would be appalled as it isn't in Wigan's DNA to capitulate like the once mighty Saints have done
As a Warrington fan I think that you have a cheek having a pop here as your lot have not ever delivered anything other than a couple of CC wins during the clubs purple patch,They should have won at least a couple of GF's against the Rhinos in 2012 and against us in 2013 when they had the game in the bag

| We had an NRL team on the rack in easily our worst season in 6 years. Last night if that had been us i guarantee we wouldn't have capitulated.
As for the GF results, if i speak my mind I'll be entering into the usual merry go round stuff that will invariably end up with accusations of sour grapes, boring conversations about a Blake Green injury even though it didn't stop him playing and other various well versed, tedious partisan guff from both sides.
I was embarrassed last night, the amount of arguments i have got into with Aussies, and Saints just re enforced all their arrogant, condescending ballcocks.

'"
Sounds like excuses from a fan of a losing side to me?
IMO winning a couple of GF's would certainly render any guff from both sides as totally irrelevant would you not agree?
Truth is that Wolves have bottled 2 GF's that they should have won
They lost to a 5th placed Rhinos in 2012 in a season that they finished 2nd and then lost 2 games in the play offs when the pressure was on to Saints at home and then in the final
Why?
They then lost to Wigan in 2013 despite winning by 16 points at one stage in the first half and then never scored again and were eventually beaten by 30 unanswered points
Why?
You can believe/disbelieve all the Guff you want but you know only too well that the Wolves need to deliver the big prize of a GF win to ever be taken seriously
2016 may be your year as both the Rhinos and the Saints don't look too good at the minute so that certainly narrows down your danger sides with proven play off pedigree

| Well I have just got back and all I can say is that was rubbish. Our attack couldn't crack an egg in the last 20m. This is not new though. It wasn't much better last week v Hudds, the week before v Les Cats and for most of last season against any half decent defence.
Wane needs to get this sorted because there is simply no threat or guile from us in that areas of the pitch. You can get away with it and win games in SL as we have done on the opening two fixtures this season but against as good a side as that you need more than pass it along the line followed by a speculative grubber kick, which is all we have to offer.
