I sort of think I know what he’s getting at but it is tough to make out. I think he’s saying ‘don’t make excuses for Isa’ and ‘he’ll not get much of a ban because he plays for a big club’ but I could be wrong.

I don’t see anyone really making excuses but like me, I do see people saying ‘I can understand why he got totally frustrated’. I also see people acknowledging that he deserves a ban for the Welsby incident and he does but that the other incidents were half a dozen of one etc. The Saints players were acting like a Spanish footballer in a La Liga fixture.

There is absolutely zero discipline at the club these days. It has lost complete control. The whole aura around Wigan is just a shambles.

Bateman needs to get a grip and get on with playing rugby instead of all this niggle. For a senior pro to be yellow-carded twice in one game is inexcusable.

To be fair the yellow cards were harsh imo. The game is getting spoilt by sinbinnings and bans. Maybe the dissent to the ref warrants a sin bin thinking about it

I agree but how much of this continued poor discipline just smacks of frustration?

Frustration over an ongoing situation.
Frustration that nothing is being done about it.
Frustration that they are unable to air their views in public, instead just repeat the standard response 'back at it next game' and 'we trained well in the week'.

Experienced players such as Bateman, Isa, Hardaker, Farrell, Powell, Hastings have all had their moments of frustration over the past few weeks. It's not a happy camp at the moment.

That team on Friday looked beaten as they were warming up and for a home derby that's criminal.

Maybe Wigan will think twice about using that Good Friday brawl with Farrell Newton and Sculthorpe as an advert in future lol .

Frustration that the ref had a shocker too.

Watch the faces of the Wigan players as he keeps penalising us. It's all head shakes and disbelief laughs. You can see the frustration and that builds up.

Before anyone says it too... No that doesn't excuse our performance either.

Yes Myler did get 2 games for abusing the ref.
Some ex players Paul Cook in particular thought he should get 6 games to send out a message!!
