A massive announcement on the club website about massive queues and rapid ticket sales , 2 days of jammed phone lines and crashing sales websites, a seating plan showing it selling out fast. Panic buyers ( like me ) ..and for what? Today there seems sales are so poor you can walk up and pay on the turnstile.
Me ? I have to circumnavigate the stadium and queue to pick up tickets which cost an extra 2 quid to pre order.

I will be sat in the West Stand freezing because all the Season ticket holders round about me will be absent because they have to pay this time . I understand times are tight but cant get my head around why you would watch all season and bale out at the last minute . Regards , EW

Most of the season ticket holders around me attend because they have already paid . Pay again no chance . Half of them were walking out the other week when Matty Smith was taking the last minute kick against Leeds and didn't even turn round to see if he had scored . The other half had already left .

Maybe the trip to millwall for a home game will come back to haunt the club? Fans as they often do, vote with their feet.

That is so disappointing!

But PO attendances have pretty much always been poor. I was dead against the Millwall game but, if anything, I think if such a large proportion of our core fan base can't be bothered to attend a home semi final it completely justifies IL trying to generate interest elsewhere.

We've not had a good crowd (by our standards) for a play off tie for years so doubt that's got anything at all to do with it.

It's a creative way of people bashing that game and Lenagans decision though should they wish to.

The typical profile of rugby league fan worries me now. Our sport is fair with its prices considering its elite, top-level sport and it you compare it to other sports.

This is this the biggest game of the SL season and is sure to be a fantastic contest with the winner getting to the Grand Final.

Despite all this, people still harping on about costs of tickets etc. It's pathetic, Union got over 30,000 fans for Samoa v USA game the other day and even over 10,000 for Tonga Georgia. Our games on its

exactly my point, we know our support isn't good we don't claim we are the bigggest club with the mostest bestest fans, so to have a semi final and then those same, self important bestest fans don't turn up will look a bit silly!

First of all you were worried and virtually convinced the game wouldn't be held at the DW because of the Latics factor. Numerous pages of rubbish written for no reason.
Now some faux outrage that the club hasn't sold a gazillion tickets to a game they had less than a week to.promote etc.
How dare the club put something on the website saying tickets were going fast, I mean I do t seem.to recall at any poi t the club saying Panic there's not many left?
Now as for jammed phone lines and websites crashing I'm sure that's a slight exaggeration especially when considering that anyone with half an ounce of nouse could have worked out that at worst there'd be 10k tickets left but yet decide to panic Saturday and Sunday because theyre Sat hovering over a computer or telephone over a problem that won't exist.
Then complaining about having to queue up for pre ordered tickets because someone wants to just turn up on the day and pay!
How dare they turn up on the day and pay, I mean it's not like in the next breathe someone going to be moaning that there wasn't enough people at the game is it?

I'm a season ticket holder and my mates who are also rang me Monday night and asked what we're doing. No panic over weekend, I just told em I couldn't go Tuesday so would pick them up Wednesday. Still got the discount (Thank you club) and my kids only have to pay £5 each for a semi final (Thank you club) and they didn't charge me £2 extra because I went down there. Now your not telling me that you couldn't have got down there at some point in those 5 days are you to take advantage of those 2 great offers from the club?
I'm assuming your a ST holder? I mean we wouldn't want any non ST holders coming would we?

God help us tomorrow and all next week if we do win.

As for won't get fooled again, well some people seem to get fooled too easily on a regular basis when i suspect no-one was trying to fool anyone in the first place.

Also, the "massive sales" the club announced was that 1500 tickets were sold on the first day. With the DW holding 25000 it doesn't take too much thinking to work out there's going to be a fair few left. It took me all of 4 minutes to order 2 tickets online and print them out at home, ST discount included and no booking fee - happy days!

Did the club not waive the £2 internet charge for this game . I didn't get charged it .

a lot of sense in there tbh jukesay, but the trip to the stadium bit doesn't take into account a fellow with a bad chest on public transport who is out of breath by time he gets there. Matchday offers a relief of a sit down , but buying tickets means travel straight back ( not happening )

and yes , your right about panicking over things that may not happen , but I used to be a boy scout...Be Prepared

Only 2 of my gang of 5 will be there.
Reasons for missing it (probably common ones for a lot of people), are a combination of these:
1. It's work today and tomorrow.
2. It's Thursday. Can't get away from work early like Fridays.
3. We are ST holders and don't want to pay for an extra game.
4. It's on tv.
5. It's GF next week (if we win) and that's more expensive but one that we are prepared to pay for as it's GF.

Not my words -- I'll be there. But people are entitled to make choices about how they spend their time and money. I know that none of us likes Thursday games and all believe STs should cover all games. Friday and 'free', and I guess all would have attended.

About 3,500 down on this season's average, but no doubt there'll be a hefty queue for tickets tomorrow!

Pleasantly surprised with the crowd tbh. It's not great but it's better then some of our recent play off crowds when you consider the away following was only 12-1500 or so.

Play off attendances are a problem across the board.

Not bad for a Thursday night playoff.

Looked grim as I entered the ground tonight about 7:20 but started to fill up a bit. To be honest I thought it was a bit more at the time.

Leeds last second winner wasn't great for the play off crowds. Had we topped the league I think you'd have seen 18,000 or so on at the DW tomorrow and a similar crowd for Leeds v Hudds as they will get against Saints.

Sorry but "we are. ST holders and don't want to pay for an extra game" sounds pretty sad to me.

If paying 20 quid to see your team reach a GF is too much trouble...
Sure, people are entitled to spend their hard-earned how they choose. What they're not entitled to do is call themselves fans if that's their attitude.
