This. Morley may not carry the workload that he used to do but he's still capable of putting a monster hit in that can both lift his team and change the momentum of a game. I'd rather face a Wire team without Morley any day of the week

By saying that both may/may not play, they DO NOT need to be named in the official squad and Wire could simply say Morley and Harrison have passed a test and can play.

As others have mentioned - i'd put money on 1 if not both being in the 17 come Saturday. Tony Smith has played games with his team/squad alot over the past few seasons and it'd come as no surprise to see it happen again.

I'll only believe it when the whistle blows. Regardless of whether he will or will not play I hope this is not the end of the road for Morley, loves the game, gives it his all and seems a decent enough bloke and to have problems with your sight must be horrendous and wouldn't want any player to have to end their career that way so I wish him well.

id much rather see him retire than do himself some serious harm. great player past and present and someone that wore is heart on his sleeve but his priority has to be his health and his family and if that means retiring then he should. be horrible to see him take a big shot to the head and something go wrong. I love rugby league but its not worth doing yourself some serious damage for. we always be remembered as one of the great british forwards whenever he decides his career his over.

If he plays he plays, if he doesn't nothing changes. Wire will still have seventeen players determined to win the game, just as we will. It won't change Maguires attitude to the game.

We might not have Morley but at least we have the ref on our side.

Anyone who's said he's rubbish/past it etc are crazy. He's winding down a little due to the obvious(age) but is still a top player and if nothing else his presence is massive. He reminds me of Cunningham in his last couple of years at Saints in that he may not be the all action, 100mph player he was but he's still a very good player and a world class leader who inspires those around him.

If he misses out on Saturday it'll lift Wigan but if he makes the miracle recovery some people on here expect it will make the Wire players feel 10ft tall and it'll make the Wire fans lift the noise even more.

We'll see.

Jesting aside i actually see what you see in Pryce, the thing is though he reminds me of 'Waterboy'(a film you might not have seen) but before coach Klein tells him how to get his 'tackling fuel'

Trouble is he doesn't have the angry focus. If this guy could 'think' quicker and play with heart he would be the RL version of Jonah Lomu. I've seen him drive a ball in about 15 metres out and carry 4 players over the line for a try, i looked at him and thought.

I was speaking to someone who was involved in his coaching at a young age. He said Karl was like his dad very easy to get on with and laid back, whereas Leon was more like his mum, very aggressive.
It's a pity with Karl because he has so much ability, but just appears to lack that natural aggression that is necessary in a Rugby player.
