I completely agree with you that many pople in will have heard of Wigan RLFC. They did a fantastic job promoting the game due to being so dominant. Who is to say in 20yrs nobody will know them, but everyone will know St Helens or dare I say Warrington. Winners are all people remember, hopefully We will be winners in 2 weeks, that will alter nothing, until Warrington are consistant winners few people outside or RL will know them..

That is a great response to have mate. Most wire fans coming on our board bite back, but you gave a good honest answer and I agree with you. The ones people will of heard of are Bradford, Leeds, Saints and Wigan because they are all recent winners of trophies, and although our last one was 2002 many people obviously remember the glory days. Hopefully the challenege cup final will raise the profile of the 2 teams and they can get bigger crowds and all that jazz.

Very much looking forward to the challenge cup final this year, two different teams for once, a new winners name on the cup, unpredictable result with no clear favourite.

After five games this season we hadnt won a game and if someone had send we could go to wembley we would have taken it.

So just stop trying to get one over on us - its gone and whether we win or lose or make the playoffs we will still be coming out for another go in 2010 whatever happens.

Finishing 4th means going away to Leeds or Saints. Supporting Wigan and doing well in the play-offs one thing I have learned is that momentum is the biggest factor in the play-offs. I think going away to Leeds or Saints would just make us lose our momentum as we would lose. I would much rather have a home tie and then an easier away tie than the top two and then face the top 2.

Yeah but you could lose the last game before the playoffs and finish 5th and it would be the same as you would go into the playoff match on a loss. finish 4th you could lose then get a second go at it, pull off a win and your in the semi's one step from the GF

I am not so sure going to saints or leeds and losing would help us in any way. It would be nice to finish 4th I guess and I would be more confident and more relaxed but I think you need full momentum to actually win the grand final therefore I think 5th is better.
