| Quote ="Phuzzy"Wouldn't it make sense to get them repaired in time for this game or is it not that simple?'"
Not as simple as repairing, in that they can't just be repaired I.e sticking plaster.
They can be replaced
New seats and install in effect cost more than the amount brought in by match tickets for this 1 game
There is also other issues re the longer term solution so we can't just say "oh they'd benefit for more matches in future" when in future more changes affecting more seats will be needed as well to achieve a long term solution
If anyone remembers I alluded in the past (both when the Chinese were selling and when the Bahranis ran out of money) that the stadium was in desperate need of money spending on it, neither of them did it.
And as there was the stadium 25yr safety checks coming up and without it their safety licence would be taken away it was all heading for disaster
Top line is, the stadium needs millions spending on it to most importantly to comply with H&S regulations, safety compliance etc and then, just like the ticketing systems there's so much needs doing internally such as air conditioning, telephony etc that needs bringing up to date
There is a massive review of the whole thing going on
They've done well to get to the 24k ish mark they have done so far.

| On the rare occasions the stadium is filled, I always think the club needs to find ways of trying to capitalise and attract some of the casual fans back. Maybe hand out some flyers for a ticket deal for the next home game around the stadium or some season ticket info etc.

We play Huddersfield the week after, so that would be ideal because we’re likely to go from 24,000 to around half that without a fair push.

| It would be very interesting to know how many neutrals are attending (or non Wigan fans I should say)
To see a side like Penrith live and in the flesh is a big draw for a lot of RL fans so I would imagine there’s a decent amount.
I saw a Saints fan on Twitter that said he personally knew 21 other people going to the game who aren’t Wigan fans. FTV is another example bringing 5 mates with him.

A fair chunk would be neutrals I'd imagine. The demand for tickets has been unprecedented in the history of the fixture (for games not involving the larger city of Leeds).

| Really tough to put a number on it but when we play Saints on a Good Friday, that brings out lots of casual fans but even then, it’ll only sell out in the week of the game and with 5,000-6,000 Saints fans helping. I do know a few casual Wigan fans who are going who don’t even bother with Good Friday/Grand Finals, so there’s clearly a big appetite for it in the town. I’d imagine there will be a couple of thousand neutrals in the ground on the night.

| About 3/4 of N2 disappeared in one go, be great if Penrith have organised a fans trip and they're all together in that block

The end blocks of E/W never went on sale, can't see they'd be where they put corporate guests and likewise with the bottom 1/3rd of N1/S1. taking a guess I reckon 23.7k

Do you know if the fan village will show the Saints game on telly?
Is it worth a visit over just heading to the pub?

I think it will be shown as it is on Sky and as there will be a few neutrals at the game.Would make commercial sense (beer sales etc).
A great starter before the main course
Will try to find out mate.

| I seem to recall them putting internationals on when they've had the bonfire nights (not been to them myself), so there should no reason why they won't put the Saints game on if it's on the BBC. I might go to the fan village but will probably see what the weather is like. If it's not clever and you can't get outside I can see it being uncomfortably busy in there. If we get a day like today then it should be fine and you can come and go as you please.

Even better, although it does say live on Sky at 5-30pm.
Anyhow I would think the game will be shown.

they should start rolling out soon, the confirmation of sale email says if you've not got it the week before the event to get in touch, so no panic yet

Enjoyed that.
He was a bit of a character was Fletcher, one of those players you wished had joined Wigan earlier in his career but as long as a player had played SOO Maurice seemed open to bringing them to Wigan.
Rads not giving much away by highlighting our pack as well as Field & French.

| Looks like Sam Eseh picked up an injury today so thats four forwards unavailable. Looks like it's between Chan, Cooper and Hill for the final bench spot. Everything crossed we can get through the Cas game unscathed.
