I've been arguing that for a while now. I'm sure Wane will make a top class head coach but i don't think he has had long enough as an assistant. However IL has never rushed into anything and has always done his research. I trust he will make the right decision for Wigan.

But how long would be long enough? If he isn't given a chance we'll never know if he's got it or not, but I think he now deserves that chance given he has coached multiple academy grand final winning teams and has been assistant during the recent success of the first team.

Isn't round 27 going to be awareness day of mental issues/ welfare for players in the game? I suspect that is what the announcement will be.

I was watching a video a few weeks ago regarding NFL players who have suffered many knocks to the head and analysing the players brains after repeatably being knocked out/concussed... sure does make you think about the mental problems side of things... IMO its one of the last known taboos since the acceptance of homosexuallity... mental health awareness is much needed is society... well done the RFL for this initiative.

As in cheap tickets for the 1st playoff game? Good idea if it is imo as it is usually a poorly supported fixture with ST holders not getting in free and we should be looking at trying to get close to a full house.

A big step backwards for your club if Wane is named as Coach. Looking at Wigan, I see a fairly young side that has the potential to dominate for quite a while, I don't think Wane is the man to carry that on. We(wire) are an ageing side which we are paying for at this stage of the season. We have brought in Ratchford and Hill so are looking to get younger. But we have a very good coach that can paper over the odd crack.

A serious question here. You seem to speak with some authority, so what exactly do you base this on?

Are you in any way acquainted with Shaun Wane and his coaching methods?
